My EMT partner that I ride with on Monday nights told me that last week he saw a horrendous MVA on Rt. 35 in Long Branch involving TWO B7 A4s that were apparently racing. He said both cars (a black one and a white one with black rims) were totalled and the white one was cut in half. Just hoping none of our AZ folks were involved.

Maybe it's just that B7s shouldn't race each other. Maybe it's like a matter-antimatter sorta thing. I dunno...

Anyway, I don't know anyone with a Black B7 in the area. I know ECA4 has a white one, but there are a couple of them. And of course it's entirely possible that the parties involved may not have been local. The fact that they self-destructed would, after all, seem to indicate that they were from New York. :)

Another example of why street racing is just dumb.

^^ Here here! New Jersey and a few of the burroughs are blessed with some of the worst drivers in these United States. I really think a track day a few times a year is super helpful to the driving noobs. Teaches them how to do things like TURN.

I'd be happy if some of our friends from the Empire State could realize that the left lane on the Turnpike is NOT their exclusive property on which to travel 60mph as they see fit and never move for any reason.

I think that qualifies as a NATIONAL phenomenon. If you ever see my white B7 in the left lane and you are going faster than i am, I will always move over; deal?

You are right - it's all about how kids are taught to drive when they get their frigging license - hence National phenomenon.

Is there any difference between a kid from Europe and one from US?
Nope. They are born with the same basic elements
Then you have to add the knowledge. Why did I have to take about 30-40 hours with a certified instructor before I could attempt to pass the driver license exam? Are kids here born with the skill of driving and the kids in Europe aren't?

At the exam - I had to pass the written test - pretty much like here just that there were lot more questions and very difficult - it required you to study the legislation.

Then the driving part - no automatics allowed, had a time limit to complete the skills part which included stop and go on a ramp.

Only after you passed both from above you can get in traffic where you have to again demonstrate defensive driving skills.

Anyway - I'd think, since here it's up to parents in most cases to teach their kids how to drive, how can they teach their kids these skills when they even dont have them?

I am sorry for all the people dying in street racing, I really am.
They also make it harder for people to argument for increasing the sometimes idiotic speed limits.
Peace to all and dont get me wrong.
I love this country since it's my own too. Even if I wasnt born here. So dont think my comments are anything of an elitist nature. I'd just like to improve things if it could be possible.
And I'd start by making the defensive driving course mandatory for anyone who applies for a license.
Make it free - have the state pay for it - if you can't afford it since that's the argument I heard from
all people I talked to.

Hick 1 has to have a license since he needs to get to work but he can't afford the course - if he can't have the state pay for it but make it attend those 6 hours.

Again, I hope no one from Audizine got hurt.

Damn thats crazy! I didn't hear about the accident in Long Branch, but I live about 2 miles from the accident yesterday that happened in Freehold. Thanks for looking out[up]

My brothers friend was driving down RT 55 and saw the accident happen. He said the kid was flying around the sharp bend and went right into the other lane and hit a minivan head on and then instantly ingnited on fire.

Here's a pic someone had taken right after the accident happened:

So tragic, my prayers are with their famlies.
