I know this is kind of an open ended question but, what kind of job market is in the area, would hopefuly be looking for something in marketing, but I am in operations now so possibly something in that arena as well. I know San Fran is close by. Me and the wifey may be moving there in a few months. Thanks for the help.

I got a bit ahead of myself before posting what I do. As of now I work for a company which specializes in mobile dental, they have a contract through the military for dental screenings and care, which I manage. Before that I was a touring golf professional, mini tours mainly.

Depends on what kind and how much experience you have ... PM me your email and we can chat a little bit more. I work in SF, for a Fortune top 20 Company. We're hard to get into ... but if you're resume speaks for itself, then we can see where we have openings.

Ill pass on a "career at home earning $1000/week" but thanks[:D]. The type of job I am looking for probably will not be found on craigslist, but you never know.[up]

Actually, Craigslist is a great source. You'd be surprised how many quality companies and actual postings are listed there.
Marketing is a broad spectrum. Are you looking for Marcom, PR, or something more sales?
And why the move from Albuquerque? Isn't Eclipse Aviation and some other companies starting to pop out there? Rio Rancho is coming up as well? Just curious...

I actually have looked since shooting it down , and was quite impressed. The CL in the bay area is far superior to ABQ's.
Yes, marketing is a very broad spectrum. I would idealy like to be an AE somewhere, but I really would be happy with getting my foot in the door at an advertising or marketing firm and go from there. My degree is in marketing and that is what I really enjoy.
I am actually from Ventura Co. and moved to ABQ for school. My fiancee is in her 4th year of med school at UNM and is strongly considering Stanford for residency.
Yes Eclipse is growing, but it seems you need a pilots license for them to even consider you. Rio Rancho? well, what can I say, there really is not much to it. Yes Intel is there but thats about it. No culture at all, strip malls, car lots, and housing developments for as far as the eye can see. Not that we entertained the idea of staying here at all anyway though.

One of my clients is Publicis Hal Riney in San Francisco. I know people in HR, marketing, and the CEO's daughter who is the office manager. I dont put in good words for folks I dont know. If you dont mind, send me your resume and I will talk to you more about your background. Just dont wanna vouch for something that may bite me in the ass ya feel me.
Our company just started (Whisper Communications) but we are all the way in Benicia. I think Tivo was looking for a Marketing Director? I know folks over there too.
There are alot of options in the Bay. Especially if your good at what you do. I just had to do things the hard way not having even a diploma. I still dont but I do fairly well considering the fact.
Anyway... PM me or email me

Hey let me guess... your building is on the corner of Market and Montgomery? I dont wanna just blurt the name out but it starts with an "M" and ends with an "N". I think thats the only Fortune 20 company in the city.
Let me know if im dead on or way off.

The job market is great. Of course, there are some variables such as education and experience, but in general if you can write and speak well it can open doors for you in the bay area. Example- my wife has a master's degree in sculpture and works for TiVo.

Yeah... speaking of TiVO, I have a friend that never finished any community college he went to. Use to depend on the women in his life and works for TiVO. I think he worked his way up to being a R&D engineer or something.
