DO any of you guys have a problem with dension icelink plus?

Has anyone ran into problems using the dension icelink plus on their cars? I just bought one off of ebay and went to best buy to get it installed. The installer told me that he's installed a few of these on bimmers but not audis and all of them went bad. He told me that it froze up the stereo and the ipod.

It seems like everyone on this forum has installed it and is working fine.

Yep. I had one in my B6, luckily my husband is the manager of a car stereo store here with an awesome installer who was trained by Steve Brown from Alpine. The piece wouldn't work I would say a good 40% of the time and the installer or my husband had to unplug it from the back of the deck and plug it back in because it would randomly stop working. Everything else, my deck, and my satellitle radio worked perfectly but the icelink piece was not completely reliable.

i had a dice hookup working for 2-3 weeks with only minor problems. it would beep through the speakers when i skipped songs, and occasionally it would lock up the ipod.

Then one day it locked up the iPod for good. Now my computer says its corrupt and theres nothing i can do. i don't know if the dice broke my ipod but i wish i never bought it.
