some RSX's are quick. Plus they are quite a bit lighter than the b5. I used to drive a boosted type R integra and that thing was insanely fast.

what engine do you have and mods?

car was stolen. out of my garage. after that I was done with Honda's. Plus I'm getting 2 old for Hondas. I've outgrown that need for speed phase. I decided to get something a little more practical.

Yeah it's not so bad. I've had quite a few quick cars. I'm tired of spending alot of money modding them too. I'll probably just chip mine, and do a suspension and rim upgrade and call it a day. Plus I bought a new house recently that I would rather dump my money into rather than a car. Anyways here is an old pic I dug up. RIP

ehhh i use to race my friends rsx with a CAI and exhaust and I dont know what else he had, maybe headers? I had the ole' 2.8 v6 manual quattro with CAI, short shifter, GIAC chip, and muffler. Couldn't win off the line but could pull pretty easy on him on the highway... now his brother with a GSR Vteaakkkkkkkkk once VTEC kicked in he was out..... o well.. I would beat them both now.... hehehehe

DGAF - your type R is perfect!!!! HP is a drug....your addiction is in remission. you'll be back. Besides, you'll never get the financial return dumping money into your house as you would a car.......*says it w/ a straight face, trying really hard not to laugh*

Audi Innie- from now on, we only post kill or death street racing stories, no more disaster stories that make Audi's look bad mmmmkaaay????

kthanxbai.

edit- I killed a RSX in the 8th mile last time out at the track. He had the usual mods I'm sure....and I can't drive for crap.

I don't get it. After i got my new tranny and stage-4 clutch this kid (19 yr old) who worked with me was talking all kinds of crap about how his 2004 Acura RSX Type-S wth a CAI would walk my a4.

So we both has closing shifts on a friday night and when we got to the parking lot around ~10pm we lined them up and raced from one end of the parking lot to the other. Maybe just short of 1/4 mile, but i pulled on him from the line and had him by a good 3 lengths at the end. He might get me in handling i dunno, but in a straight line i dunno. He's got nothing on quattro.

RSX Type-R?? Type S maybe, a k20r would walk on you all day long probably couldn't drive. I had an integra too. Miss the cheap parts and reliability, but I had it stolen from me right infront of my drive way. It was a 95 db8 with a fully built ls/vtec, ran a 13.4 on street tires, not bad for a 4 door.

yea my buddy just dropped a european accord type-R motor in his gutted hatchback and that thing rips! like his car changed my point of view on honda hatchbacks..

although not at all practical since there is nothing in the interior but a steering wheel and two seats.. but then again that's half of the fun driving in it, you just know it's all business time

b5 s4 owner buttin here...

on 95N in MA, I went up against 2 really nice looking rsx's...kits, wheels, suspension, exhaust (those are the only def. things they had) I assume they had some other goodies too.

so we are on interstate 95 and I am cruising at 70-75 mph, and I see these HID's coming up behind me at a decent speed and BAM this rsx (red) pulls up right next to me...and its off, I am in 5th gear and we step on it. I am pulling on him but not real hard. By 110 I am easily 2 car lengths ahead, so I cranked it into 6th and I was off. Then what do you know...we come on another rsx, same shit, kit, exhaust, suspension, wheels etc.

We had come upon some traffic so we didnt immediately do a pull, but as soon as we made our way through traffic it was back at it. The two RSX's were loud as we rolled right next to each other at 70 mph on the highway...once again we were off. The new rsx (black one) tried to keep up but was soon in the distance. However the red one was only 4 or 5 car lengths behind me. granted I didn't really get on it...but still, pretty impressed.

oh and I got pulled over about 15 miles down the road. pretty shitty yeah.

theres a 600hp rsx around these parts that will pwn most of the cars on this forum. For a regular rsx to walk you like that,it must have had a bit more than just the regular bolt ons.......or you just suck at driving and life in general.

based on the shifts, I think the BOV was on the Audi. besides, it was blowing off very quickly which is indicative of a tiny turbo...i.e. a k03. If that A4 had a BOV, then he deserved to lose. in fact, the kid should have his car taken from him.

Eh I was in MA...my buds got a serious $500+ ticket for "attempting to street race"...whatever that means. Could have been worse, both cars (z06 and a modena were unregistered) and neither of the drivers were the owners of the cars.

thats besides the point...the rsx is a decent car in general. specifically s/c'd or turbo'd rsx's...the ones I came across on the highway were def. not stock.

f20c needs serious c/r compression before you begin FI. a 3588r is a good match for a streetrod build. I'd consider the f22 stroker for a more tractable powerband for a street car as well. Either way you're talking a sizable initial investment without considering traction and drivetrain. It's a tricky build since the package is well rounded to begin with and FI detracting from the intended driving experience. I suppose a low pressure supplemental setup could be relatively simple and uninvasive
