if your chipped with a 9.5 caps time theres DEFINATLY something wrong

well i havent had much help with why...

its boosting strong (too much boost sometimes)...

it feels stronger at part throttle than at full throttle... (90% throttle is stronger than 100%)

i just dont know what it is..

i know on DBW the throttle body is open more at 90% throttle than 100%

i just mean an aproximation of how far i push the pedal...

i know on DBW the throttle body is open more at 90% throttle than 100%

Only way that would happen is if the ecu is closing the throttle while the pedal is at wot.

What is really going on is that during 85% throttle the ecu is still using the 02 sensor to control AFR but during WOT the ECu cuts the 02 readings off and just runs off of the fuel map and other sensors, most of the time during WOT the car runs much richer then during part throttle.

i wish it was just as simple as "replace your o2 sensor" or "replace your maf"

but theres so many things it could be... that i cant just go replacing shit...

Thats when the VAG comes in handy.

If the coolant gauge is in the middle then his car is running in normal mode. The main issue with his car(talked to him by PM) is the fact that he is running 93 octane on a WC 91 octane chip which would run correctly with EC 89 octane fuel. Running 93 on a 91 chip is like running straight 100 on a 93 chip which would get the same readings with the vag.

quoted from an older post of the same issue... mike i tried 89 for a while, knocked like a bitch... im not thinking this is a WC91 chip..

ok, ran some logs again...

better caps of 8.0 and 8.4, i guess it looks on par with other k03 APR ndbw cars...

but it still feels sluggish...

2nd run was on the same road in the opposite direction to take into account any uphil or downhill there may have been..

to maxspeed...

the reason you got errors is because you didnt enter in an email address.

also, i have a very hard time believing a chipped K03 with a 240lb passenger is by far the fastest K03 car ever to submit a CAPS time.

are you sure you were on a flat road? 6.87 is too fast a time for your mods.

yea, well the car has also done 6.15 since that log, which you also wouldnt except, yes the road is flat, i also have a cranked wastegate, a diode on the map sensor, and the boost on 23psi... with some lemmituning, the 2000 is also appearently a k03 sport.

Wish I still had logs of my K03 with the custom R31 chip that ran 14.29. BTW what are your maf readings while running 23psi? Also are you using a larger maf because you should be hitting the normal 191 for the engine load reading with a stock maf housing/sensor.

around 195g's, ive thinking about running a vr6 maf housing with the old injectors from my dads TT + the additional lemmi tuning. hell, i cant put the big turbo in till june, so i might as well max out my k03 before then

The CAPS system is designed to allow VW/Audi B5 1.8t drivers to subjectively measure their vehicles performance using a universal test. The CAPS data collection method is modeled after the FATS system used by B5 S4 drivers. The data will be posted to the database so participants can gauge performance compared to their enthusiast peers.
