If i ran 18x8.5 all around with ET 35...it recommends that i wrap them in 225/40.

i have a 98 a4 with sport suspension...the back sits a little lower than normal due to some subs in the trunk.

do you think there would be any rubbing issues?

I ran that size and was a lot lower than Sport susp. You shouldnt have a problem

yeah on edgeracing they have some nice fliks for 120 a wheel...thats why im asking this. i dont really want to drop a grand over the winter when i cant use the wheels but they're cheaper now than they are in the summer so idk yet...maybe i will pull the trigger

I was looking at these http://www.edgeracing.com/images/wheel/flik_artic_(gloss_black)_angle_zoom.jpg

My A4 is silver, and im looking to paint the lowers in the spring too.

I think an all silver body will look cool with the black wheels...maybe an rs4 grill too.

I know that these wheels are cheap and probably common, but in my town all the A4s i see are bone stock...so its not like anyone around where i live will have the same ones.

I am so sick of Flik wheels, theres a ton of wheels out there, how is it that 50,000 b5 owners like one low price wheel...

might have something to do with the fact that the wheels look good on the b5.

the wheels look good in general....like i said though, all the A4s in my area are bone stock so they're going to look unique on my car.

also, i was planning on getting the Falken Ziex Ze 512 tires with these wheels....i've heard good things about falkens but im wondering if anyone has any personal experience with those tires?

the site lists them of having a 360 for treadwear...i drive a little under 10k miles a year with my a4 and i'll be off to college soon so i guess treadwear isn't that big of a deal.

I run 512's and love them, Toyo tr-1 are rated 260 and are one of the best streching tires(i know your not steching) but the 512's streched beautifuly for me. I normally get 7k miles untill i'm worn to the belts on tires due to my camber from my ride height, but these have alot of life left after 5000 miles. They ride good, they arent loud, good in wet conditions. I'll def get them again on my next set of wheels.

i'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to stretching tires....but shouldnt these tires last me a hell of a lot more than 5000 miles?

some tires last 50,000 miles...

i understand these falken's may be a bit more agressive or a sportier tire but im hoping they will atleast last me 30,000 miles with normal driving....is that unreasonable?

98a4

That is completley reasonable. It is due to my rideheight my camber is off by ~ 4.1degrees which wears the inner part leaving the outside with perfectly good tread left.

With that said dont be after to lower the car, just dont go as low as me
