I'm replacing my Vacuum Lines this weekend and am thinking about upgrading from the OEM Diverter Valve, while i'm down there. Would you recomend it or is it unecessary with a stock set-up? Also, any recomendations or brand?

May as well check it to see if it works. Mine had a hole in the top.

You will need to change to a 710N or better to run with a chip. They $40 usually from dealers... Just as good as Forge.

can you hear the 710N just as much as you can hear the forge 007?

I don't have a chip so I don't know from experience, but everyone that has reccommended the 710N has said it's pretty loud with 15psi.

I can hear it only a little bit, but I'm not chipped.

I currently have a 710N on with the APR stage 3 (22psi) and I can barely hear it.

I would say upgrade tot he 710n while you're replacing lines. The oem valves often fail under stock boost and the 710 will give you some piece of mind without breaking the bank.

How loud is the forge 007? Can you hear it from outside the car? I am about to search but i figured since the thread is here i might as well ask

with stock boost and airbox I doubt you will hear much with the forge.

it's not the DV, its the intake/psi combo you are running that will determine the level of sound

I have the Forge and although mine is a Tip, it isn't particularly loud. I have to listen for it.

yup, my intake box is "modified" lol... So that's why I get a little bit of sound.

If you're looking for sound, a friend of mine has an EvoMS DV and it's pretty loud with just a chip and cone filter.

yes, or any aftermarket or custom intake setup for that matter.

actually it would be more of any open air element type intake. like evoms

Carbonio is kinda restrictive... At least that's my opinion. An open Cone filter will give you the most sound.

The A-Line has a rotating valve (for vacuum hose) on the top that points sideways if there are space issues. The regular 007 has the valve pointing straight up on the top, similar to the way the OEM DV has.

BTW, i ordered the 007 today from ECS. Thanks all.
