Mine is blowing like a biach.

Anyone know if i could just replace this part of the downpipe? i.e weld it on?

Also if that is possible what size would i need?

Cheers.

I had a muffler shop put a different flex-pipe section on mine (because they couldn't get the dp off - and Audi gave me the wrong DP, which is close to impossible according to them). Cost $125 parts & labor.

Mine ripped open in the spring. I ended up getting a whole new DP from www.worldimpex.com for $125 plus shipping. Took me about 1hr to swap it out because of those bolts that hold the cat to the turbine.

I weighed out getting a new flex section and having it swapped but, the flex was like $40 alone and then another $100 or so in labor for just the welding. That didn't even cover getting it off the car or back on.

So I'd wager that a shop would warrant another $50-100 in labor to R&R it.

They have them on ECS. I believe they're a little over $50.00

Happened to mine too.
You can get a new DP or just have a shop weld a new one in. Shop around

When under warranty, and the car was stock I had the whole DP replaced. Now that I am upgrading everything and had a new Techtonics DP -Swain tech ceramic coated I would just replace the flex.

My flex joint went bad back in 04. I then upgraded to a labree downpipe. Over the summer I had that flex joint damaged when I hit a racoon. I had an exhaust shop fix it for 130 total. Best bet is to order the flex joint online and then have an exhaust shop fix it.

Could i get an aftermarket dp and put it onto my standard system?

I want to run my standard exhaust for over the winter and get a new one next summer.

Anyone know the size of the standard to aftermarket?

Also if i cant what size flexi should i get?

Flex pipes are for losers [:D]

Just take it for a muffler shop and tell them to replace it, if they're not retarded it should take like 15 minutes.

Cheers mate demontweeks have some for sale.

I would rather buy an aftermarket stainless dp to go with my test pipe but it would have to be able to fit to my standard system to.

Anyone know if say the miltek one would fit the standard system?
