i got this advice from someone i trust who is very knowledagble, but it's always nice to have support.

BB turbos do you need to break in or not?

id would depend on the type of turbo.. you can beat up on a ball bearing turbo right out of the box iirc

yeah a gt2871rs is ball bearing right? so punishment can be immedite right?
I'm angry it took me so long to get the money for it.

ball bearinds dont really have any sufaces that have to wear into each other unlike persay a cam shaft and it's lifters... no worries i would say. pedal to the metal! :)
