I'm trying to pull my radiator, but the hoses (currently working on the top one) won't come off. Everything I've found says (just like any other car) remove the hose clamp (which I have) and pull the hose off. I guess it's kruded on there, but it's not coming off. I've pulled, pryed, heated and tried to lubricate it but still no luck. Any suggestions?

Use some muscle. That thing is suctioned on there REAL tight. Just keep working at it....it is a b*tch to get out, but it will come out. I believe i pryed it out with a screw driver now that I think more about it. Be carefull you dont break the plastic housing though.

Yea, I'm worried about breaking the housing. Thanks for the info, I didn't think there was any trick to it.

you need some muscle. Thats the only thing to it. Putting it on is another problem. lol.

See, my Haynes Manual mentioned nothing about that. I guess I'll go work out for a few years and try again later.

hahaha get a second person to give you a hand. Reach one hand through the headlight and the other over top. Get good footing and pull and push as hard as you can. Try pushing it in to kind of break it free. A second person really helps...or a really angry person.

we dont have hose "clamps" on the radiator hoses.

the c clips hold it on, and once they are pulled to their outer position, you can use a long screwdriver to pry the bast of the plastic housing outwards.

i twised a bit back and forth, or up and down and it seamed to work, you can try spraying some BP blaster around the hose that might help as well

I also found it odd when he says "hose clamp" since the hose has a plastic end with a C clip that sides in from the side while the engine end of the hose has a clamp.

twist it left and right to break the "seal" it has built up over the years, then just wiggle

I had the same problem.... You have to use alot o muscle and dont be afraid to break it cuz you wont.. Pull on it like you want to break it LOL....Na seriously it will come off.. just make sure the quick release click is pulled up far enough

Yes, I realize it's not a hose clamp. My mistake.
