yeah they should have them, I broke the same thing on my passat. Call ahead to make sure, they are pretty cheap probably cheaper at the VW dealer.

our dipsticks suck big nangs. There friggin hard to read. There should be an aftermarket one that is easier to read!

if your broke the housing on the engine that the dipstick goes into i did the same thing...it costs about $12 at the stealership, it didnt make sense ordering and waiting for shipping, though the durn thing prob costs $.68 to make....[headbang]

got the correct 'funnel' from the stealership. $3.80 (there are a couple different funnels, even the dealer was initially confused)
my dipstick is fine but a new one was only $12.50

the design of the dipstick sucks donkey balls. how Audi can mess up a simple dipstick is amazing.
The funnel broke on mine so the "full" mark is actually about 1/2Q low when I put the correct funnel back on so you need the funnel/dipstick assembly to be in top shape to actually get an accurate reading.

**guys- just clicked on Jason84's ecstuning link and that short handle dipstick is the one the dealer showed me but was incorrect. Mine has a long orange handle... do I have the correct dipstick?

I have the ecs#1501 w/ my long handle dipstick.

that has been on vw's forever they get brittle and break

its ok to drive for a bit like that just make sure no pieces go down into the oil pan
