make sure your using the right keys in the right spots, they have to go in with the pointed part towards the middle of the radio...

do you have a double din radio? those need 4 keys...

i do have a double din radio, and i have only 2 keys. does that mean that the radio will not come out and i need 2 more? or is there a way to do it with 2?

for supposedly working in the audio business, you sure ask a lot of rather 'useless' (for a lack of better word) audio related questions...

you can do it with two keys but it's much easier with all four.

if you're having too much trouble, I would just opt for buying another set or fabbing your own.

you have to wiggle the keys around a lot ... i mean i lot its pissed me off

and for everyone else, thanks. im not a german man. all my radios are removed by taking apart dash boards. and my other "useless" audio questions are all related to audi's and i dont deal with them. this is my first german car. and i will have to say, everything is different.

yea okay. Its as simple as putting some keys in and pulling the thing out and you cant manage. Be careful, if you play with the keys too much you could mess something up and have to take apart your whole center console to get to it. get another set of keys or borrow some. This is my first german car too and It is really not THAT complicated. We mostly have japanese cars in the audio shop anyways, we rarely get bimmers and i turn all audis away.

put the radio keys in until you feel them click into place. Then gently spread the keys away from the center of the radio while pulling the radio straight out. Youll see what i mean when your doing this. Cause when you spread the keys outward your unlatching the clip holding the radio in place.

be gentle... goodluck!

being gentle is the key. if you have to force anything you're going to end up breaking it. I learned this the hard way on my other b5's concernt HU.
