View Full Version : Catch Can...

This for you B5 S4 owners. Where's a good place to buy or fabricate an oil catch can? I was thinking about buying one, is this mod a good to have or no need?

Good to have, but not a whole lot of room to fit it in. I saw Gino and his home made can. By the way B - don't do it for looks, do it for it's purpose. It will help your piping and stuff from getting oiled up by your excess blow by oil.

yeah, that's why I wanted to get it, because of the blow by in the intake system. The last A4, I owned had serious oil build up in the throttle hose. I just want to do precaution mods for now, like the Vast "F" hose, APR Bipipe, a catch can, Vast snub mount and RS4 motormounts. The last 2, I have already, just need to install. My concern right now is reliable mods > cosmetic mods.

if you're gonna talk about reliability, might as well get some KO4s. While you're at it, buy some new control arms/end links/ tie-rod ends/ bypass valves/ rear view mirror (mine self imploded). The list goes on...

I'd love to get K04s if I had the money. I pretty much did everything else except the rear view mirror. The oil inside my mirror is evaporating.

yup me too.

Only thing I haven't done is that mirror and turbos.

When you guys need a mirror (whether side view or rear view as both of mine were fuxored), go to www.car-part.com and buy a used one, it's way cheaper than paying $350 for a stupid rear view mirror from the dealer.

No Idea. Probably MASSIVE boost leak. I have 0 PSI. Vacuum seems normal..

Haha, I was done looking for rims for months, just looking for tires. I still owe on the car. When, it's all paid off, then heavy modding will begin.
