I've ordered all the parts for my BT setup, the GT2871RS, 3 inch inlet, unitronics, the injectors blah blah blah and was talking to my buddy about it and he asked me if i thought it would be as fast as a S4 with K04's and i have NO idea. So i was curious to see what you guys would say about. Thanks.

dought full, if tuned right you can get 340 at the flywheel with that turbo with the right suporting mods, a s4 with ko4's is around 500hp

^wrong, 300Awhp is possible with that turbo and stg 3 s4's put out around 450chp.. 500 on race gas..

but you could be close.. im guessing that you went elim. which you could push out about 300 hp to the wheels.. most stg3 s4's put out around 300-400 at the wheels depending on their mods (fueling, turbo's, etc). they are a lot heavier than us too so you have an advatage their..

all in all you will be close if you tune your car right.. but you have to remember the powerband on the stg 3 s4 is ridiculously long and flat. that is one of their greatest advantages on us

Right on, i didn't think so. However i've heard 300 whp with that set up (A4) or am i getting smoke blown up my ass?

yeah i went Elim. The kid that was asking me is only running the Turbos and exhaust on his S4, no fueling or anything.

BTW, what's the correct IC pipe size for the Elims? I was told 2.5inch and then 3 inch, dosen't it depend on the size of the IC?

I'm not sure it matters so much the size of the IC, but rather the size of the turbo and amount of air needing to flow. I'm not bt so I am not sure what the ideal size is for your setup, but I think that the turbo indicates the piping size more than the IC size.

Of course I could be utterly wrong, but someone will chime in and confirm or disprove me soon enough

Yeah, you'll be at close to 400hp at the crank. Not quite. Most that I've heard from they get just under 300whp at around 296 or so, and that's even at 25psi. It would be a sweet race, but don't forget the S4 should have another gear.

2.5" would do great for the 2871

you should go with 2.5 piping and with the right tuning you can even get around 330whp with that turbo, i remember 400hpA4 was running 326whp or somthing right around there with a2871 elim but he had revo software and that was only on 440cc injectors, i'm not positive but i think unitronics runs 550's? you should have went with ctapp software they run 630cc injectors

Uni is 440 too

Wow, 400 crank, very nice. Rigt now i have the turbo, the VR MAf, the 3 inch TIP, the 2.5 inch ic piping with a rather large IC (Godspeed) the 3' to 2.5' cat delte pipe, Unitronics software, 440cc injectors, LWFW stage 4 clutch, borla exhaust and a super cool haircut. Nick or 01'A41.8T is helping me throw it together so i should be in pretty good shape.

I just have to give thanks to my girl for funding the turbo project, best fiancee ever.

Tax time, 3 inch exhaust, 3 inch TP, intake spacer and Meth injection. Sounds decent right?

Then come summer i think i might step up to CTapp tunning, bigger injectors and bigger MAF

Sound like the right rack?

how do you know 300awhp is possible? ive only seen 274 from emil with a 2871r elim on an 01 and pump gas (mustang dyno). and 290awhp from arif on 110+94 mix, ndbw (dynapack).

i think you should be able to beat an s4 with everything except k04s.

lots of things are possible. just because someone hasn't dont it yet doesn't mean it cant be done.. and apparently greg(400hpa4) is at 32xAwhp with the 71r elim from what i am being told now, could have sworn it was full 2871r though.. and i've talked via PM with someone on here a while ago about their elim and he claimed a 296 or maybe 297Awhp dyno(who knows how reliable but he knew his stuff). but i know that bOOOOstedaudi is in the 370-380chp range with his GT28RS elim

Well here's another question, my car has the AEB NDBW head, that's a good thing right? When i ws looking for the car and doing research i was told that the AEB's are the big port heads and flow better then others. Is this correct and if it is, dosen't that give me a slight edge over small port heads?
