there is a guy selling a 1993 S4, it has 203000km (127000miles) , dark silver with no rust.

he is asking $4200CAD Negociable , ($3700USD)

but there are few problems. he works for a garage and told me the car need new transmission mount, suspension bushing( i believe is for the rear) and he said something about the downpipe will need to be change maybe next year. I dont know how he can predict that. Also, he doesn't know if the timing belt was change. He believe Not.

Also, he said it will cost about $1300 for installation of the downpipe including labor. He said only dealer sell the downpipe. Is that true? there are no aftermarket ??
Is it true that timing belt is expensive for change ?

can someone tell me about how much it will cost to fix all that.
Should I go for it?

$3700USD is a great price for a car with 127k miles on the odo. I'd expect you could get all the work done for about $3000USD. With that said, $6700 is a GREAT price for a 6 second AWD turboed car!

I personally hope you pull the trigger on this one. I have a few websites I can refer you to on my home computer that might help you get a better sense of parts and repair costs. PM me if you want them.

I second that! Plus, the 1993's came with the factory carbon fiber trim inside...and that alone can fetch up to $500 if pulled and sold!

. . . which you won't do if you buy the car right?

Lol...I'm just saying...if he buys it for that cheap and doesn't feel like fixing it...there are good parts he can sell to make some money back! ;)

there will be others. Plenty of C4's in Canada!
