How many of you have had to replace your coil packs and did you replace them with a set of "E" version from Hitachi or Beru?

Just tested for spark on my stock ones and it seems I am only getting spark from #2 when it should and #4 every now and then.

Looking at some older posts on AW it seems that some other ATW owners have had to change theirs and it seems that the E version was on the second half of the 2000 year.

Talking with mike at Pure Motorsport is that the set he can get for the ATW are from Beru with the same part # as my Hitachi set. Just wondering if anyone else is running the Beru set.

BTW my stock Hitachi coil packs lasted 130k miles and were able to push the 500+whp mark.

I bought a set of E's but my misfires came from cheap plugs. I got 100,000 miles on my originals and its still purs like a kitten.

replaced all of mine around 80k. One went, replaced and then they all went. Just reaplaced them all in the end. They are all E version, no idea which brand.

I replaced mine as well - not sure which version either, so kind of a useless post. If it helps, I picked the set up from ECS about 9-12 months ago. I thought my old set was bad, bought a new set, went to swap them and found out I had a very lose spark plug. Swapped them out anyway. Only had about 85K on the original factory installed ones.

If they are hitachi it will say in the bottom left corner on the top section of the coil pack, it is the side away from the plug.

Well turns out that the new coil packs I picked up are hitachi parts but have the Beru name on a sticker stuck to the white section of the coil pack, seems they used a grinder to remove the Hitachi name and the part #'s around it including the rings.
