So LLTek stopped making these (http://www.lltek.com/fog.htm) foglights for my 1999 because he said most people just change to a front bumper with fogs. anyway, i'm not changing my bumper for multiple reasons. do any other companies make fogs and housings that fit directly into the stock bumper? or does everyone just custom fit them ? also, who makes good fog lights that integrate directly into the headlight wiring harness?

Vestatec made a retrofit kit. I am trying to locate a dealer in the US that may have them.

i bought a set of fogs off of classicgarage.com they are really nice for $45 fogs. halogen clear bulb, and they look very oem!!! it comes w/ the brackets, module, switch, wire's and screws. i just need to find an 01 lower grill so i can install them, but my patience is starting to grow on me. so i might just install them and cut off a piece of my grill!!! when i get home i'll post up the link

Well if you were looking at that fog kit which looks a lot like some hella micro DE's, you may as well go a similar route for cheaper, it just won't look AS OEM as that kit.

What I did. Buy a set of Hella micro DE's or some other hella optilux projector fog lights. The DE's are about $120 shipped and the Optilux ones are less than $50.

Then, buy a cheap HID kit off ebay and you have their ($843 kit) for about $300.

Cause HID projector fogs are the best! Bada Bing!

i bought the 1100 optilux fogs, don't care if they're H.I.D's or not. i just don't want it looking like shit on my 98.5 bumber. what do you suggest? i've been searching for lower bumber grills in the local scrapyards but no luck.

I bought a set of the OEM fogs from a 99.5+ car. Got the grills and the lamps. I made a relay circuit and triggered it from the factory foglight wire that went to the 2-piece headlight.

They fit nicely and they work exactly as they should when you press the stock fog button or rear fog button.

The Hella Micro DEs were something I considered but, I really wanted the fogs to look like stock equipment.

Well let me find you some pics. (basically the trick is just to mount them far enough back so they don't stick out like ugly eyeballs! lol

So what I did was made a bracket (really easy), that would allow them to be mounted deeper in the bumper.

So I just took one of those metal carpentry braces with all the holes to connect 2 2x4's together as you see, then drilled the holes out in a few spots so the fog bracet would fit. Then test fitted it with the fog on to make sure there was enough clearance in back. Then epoxy'd it to the bumper. Or JB weld it.

You can see the fogs are pretty invisible from the side and clean from the front.

20VTurboA4, That looks pretty good.

And the bumper mod looks sick. Did you just cut it out yourself?

Yeah I just dremeled out the middle, then used some bondo to fill the line there and mold the bumper to the valence. Thanks.

Any chance you have pics of when/how it was done? Like a mini write-up??

An FMIC would look sick right there. Thats what I might be doing.

I do. I will compile one in a bit.

Yes an FMIC would look pretty bomb dot com in that fat opening. One day... I think I'd probably go stealth black though with some mesh over it. The mesh is still in the works too. lol

X3!

i thought it was an aftermarket bumper, but then i realized what you had done to it. it looks completely different. great job! mini right up would be sweet.

as for the foglights.....i will have to do something like this if i ever get aftermarket or retrofitted 1 piece headlights since the foglights arent built in to any of those.
