Like it says...when will it with maintenance issues.
Im sure many here has gotten used to it but when will maintenace ever end haha.
Couple weeks ago car shut off on the hwy. Got a new fuel pump.
couple days ago rough idle and cyl 2 misfire.
Got a new ICM. Hopefully that'll be the last for this year.
Im still surprised its running really well when it runs(99% of the time) with 200k plus miles.
Well, last thing im doing today is flushing out the engine.
3 qt. ATF 1 qt. 20w-50.

yep, it's an Audi. we're all used to it. If it's modded, you have even more maintenance issues.

Yea, we bought it from the 1st owner and he actually hadnt done anything to it. stock suspension, tie rods, control arm, everything factory original. Only thing he did was a TB service. Well, we got it a little over a year ago and basically changed out a lot of stuff.
Anyways, it hit 206,000 today. If its still running by the end of next year, which im sure it will, we'll be seeing about 250k.

i think these cars are hit or miss. i had a mk3 vr6 jetta that was NOTHING but problems from the day i got it. like, honestly anything and everything that could go wrong did in that car from the window regulator going the day i got the car to the headgasket takin a $hit on the way to Hodis one day. but my a4 is [:D] . biggest problem i had with it was a cyl 1 misfire a year ago. i believe it was the MAF and even with that bad i was still able to drive the car to and from work every day.

Yes, maintenance/upkeep on our A4s is a real PITA. It is a bittersweet relationship. When the cars are running good, I absolutely love them. However, when there's a problem, I often ask myself, "why I'm driving a 9 year old car when I can get a new one and not have any problems?"

One thing that has really kept me going is AZ and AW. Without either of these enthusiast sites and their respective members, I would have given up on my A4s along time ago...

Just be sure to get a good pic of the 250k milestone.

The 2001 S4 Avant that I drove as a company car has almost 190k miles on it and feels just like new. It just got Koni/Vogtland and some H-Sport love.

Woah, lemme add this up... 200k miles, fwd and chipped for performance?

IMO... if it's an audi and it's not quattro, it's not worth putting up with how it craps the bed

Yup, FWD chipped holding 20-21 psi on a k03, etc engine suspension mods and on top of that factory original tiptronic haha. We'll see how long she'll hold.
The engine flush went well. We had a slight ticking noise and slight vibration. After the ATF flush, its all gone. The only thing was it took about 3 hours and 3 oil changes but I guess it was worth it.
