you could try i search to help you out.

but ill be nice. i have these as do a few other people on this board. some like them, some dont. some say Depo's tend to fog up and "pit-up" really easily. they arent on my car yet so id be lying if i told you anything more.

yeah I think they are depo

Hmm. same stuff???? No.

The reason you pay for Ecodes is for the projector quality as well as the corner bulb housing.

The projectors on these are most likely nowhere near the quality of Valeo's, so why would you pay 250 for knock offs

If your gonna spend that much, you might as well just get the Ecodes or S4's like myself

if you are pre 99 you would have to do the fender trim though.

Poopie

that is with all 1 to 2 piece conversions though.

I have had no problems with these, the light output is better at night, will be noticible better when i get HIDs. I would recommend these. When I bought mine they said nothing about DEPO lights.

Just get the Valeo Ecoded. They are not that much more and they are twice the quality.

I bought depo projectors because I didn't have the extra $200-300 (I have 2pc.) that Valeo's would have been. I'm sure when I get a chance to upgrade, I can get a little money back and hook up another member with a good price.

Sure, they're lower quality, but they work fine for now, and it's a huge improvement in light output and appearance over stock.

haha your tellin me.

Im a 98.5 guy and believe me i know how much better even these lights are over stock

I just thought you'd be worried about the quality so i was just letting you know.[up]

Where are these Valeo Ecodes sold? I've googled, but all I keep coming up with is links to audi forums.

Actually, I wonder if it's at all possible to spraypaint the housing black yourself. I might buy a cheap pair on ebay and give it a try. (Yes, I want those black housings that badly).

Poopie, sorry, i dont have any close ups of these. they are at the body shop being installed on my car from the wreck. i will take some pics and what have you once i get my car.
also, i didnt have an extra couple hundred to spend on Valeo's. the lady's Insurance (who was paying for the repair on my car) was only going to cover ONE 2-peice headlight for the drivers side- since its a 97-, so i had that much money to spend on a headlight. but it just so turned out, that the price of one OEM 2 peice headlight was the same as buying 2 DEPO ecodes like i have now, so i opted for the upgrade (upgrade from ebay halo's that i had on the car during the wreck). im sure i will be perfectly happy with these lights once i get them. with my HID kit, it will be plenty bright for me.

I have the Depo Ecode reps from Ebay and love them! Higher quality projectors than aftermarkets like APC or soem other crap. Im running HIDs in them as well and have a sweet cutoff line. a nice blue /purple fade to whatever HID Kelvin im using. I had 4300k and now I have 6000K. Using A4/S4 ballasts from a B6. Dremeled the under side of them and all is good!!! Just make sure you have the headlights set for US standards. the cuttoff should look like this looking out your windshield on a white garage

(US cutoff) Driver side -> _/-- _/-- <- Passenger side

Mine were set to European roads when i got them theres a switch inside to flip the shield.

(Ecode cutoff) Dr side -> --\_ --\_ <- Pass side

The slants are not that dramatic just showing a point on when getting them and so you dont blind people. These will also have to be aimed and everything.

I had the depo blacked out housings two piece lights....

They were teh suck!

I should have saved my money and bought true ecodes.

The projector sucked balls, and the plastic lens was "soft" two good winters here in Central ohio and they were all pitted to hell.

I put my stock headlights back on and found that I had like at least 50% more light output with stock than the POS depo headlights I spend a crapload on.

EFF-Those lights...

My DEPO 2-piece black eCodes are wonderful IMO. The light output is amazing, and shines everywhere it needs to be, rather than directly on to the road 3 feet in front of the car like the stock nonprojectors.

Wholsea

My depo 2 piece did the exact opposite. They shined directly down, when I had the projector aimed correctly, the high beams pointed up into the trees.

Quality isn't consistant, I had a bad experience, and will never recommend them to anyone... GARBAGE

Yea I'll give you the inconsistent quality, as I've heard just as much good as bad about them.
