just bough an 07 A4 2.0T... pics and a few questions.

Bought a 2007 A4 2.0T CVT over the weekend and I am already in love. We have a 2001 S4 as well, so I'm not completely new to the Audi world.

I do have two questions though about something I noticed on the car. First, sometimes when I take off slowly, or go in reverse, the car kind of bogs, like a manual tranny when engaging the clutch. Im guessing this is just a normal attribute of the CVT?

Second, is the horn supposed to sound when the alarm goes off? All i get is the constant beeping noise which wouldn't scare away a mouse. The dealer told me the horn is supposed to go off as well, can anybody confirm that?

1) congrats. Damn your family are ballers.
2)If it's tiptronic, mine is like that too, normal.
it shifts smoothly and stuff, I think the reverse thing is weird also, but I got used to it.
3)My alarm is just beeping too. =)

alarms dont do much anyways. peopel just get annoyed with them, not do anything about them anymore

You probably don't have to worry about anyone wanting to steal your car anyways . Just keep your valuables in the trunk, in the glove compartments, or at home and you'll be fine in terms of security.

i believe the horn might go off when the actual alarm is activated? Not sure but I believe it only beeps when you hit the Panic button.

Someone go try to break into their car and see what happens, haha.

i had the car jacked up once to remove the rim while the alarm is armed, and all it did was beep too. not sure about panic mode. But the alarm really isn't an alarm. Audi refers to it as keyless entry, and anything more you get is a bonus as far as they see it. [:D]

alarm only emits high pitch beeping sound. NO HORN. I broke into mine last night at 2am. had a screw driver in my pocket n everything...ah the keyless entry also helps.

haha oh well. guess the alarm isn't that big of a deal.

Mine is CVT also, and it did that for a wile, but now it docent, however if you are on S mode, using the gate, or using the paddle shifters, I noticed that if you bleep the throttle from a dead stop, it revs a bit but it does not move, but if you bleep it and then keep applying slight pressure to the accelerator, you can make anyone believe its a manual. (Fom outside) Its so funny [:D]

Ps:My alarm does the same thing, my alarm clock is way louder.

My alarm is all weird too. Hmmm vag com change perhaps? Nice cars! Not to thread jack but if you're mom wants wheels for her G35 I got some Piaa Super Rossas left over from my G35 sedan almost brand new lol [:D]
