Escort X50, you will notice diehard fans on both sides. I personally bought the X50 because I got a great deal on it through work. Search if you want to hear more about it there are tons of threads about it.

beltronics fell out of the loop the last few years, they didnt test well or as well as the x50 for v1, ill do a search on google you will find a bunch of pages that ran tests on all of the top brands, cant remember what site i went to..

i would say v1, but you know most police leave the gun off then turn it on when your passing. by the time the radar goes off they have you.

You could stay with the flow of traffic for free and also save due to better gas mileage!

Bze, couldnt tell you how much it runs. having a father that worked at Audi for 23 years brought much free stuff.

oh and just a little accident i had here-while-back. should be getting it back sometime this week.

spend your money on something that is actually useful.

Your detector will always get beat.

detector saves you only if you drive smart. it's a tool, not a liscence to speed.

Very well put, I dont understand the lame "dont speed" answers. Are you my mom driving at 65? Certain situations on the highway I feel very comfortable doing over the limit with my v1 but you cant get all invincible.

every time i've been popped with a ticket it's been laser, fairly open road (safe) and i'm doing about 15 over in a 65 zone. Not much you can do about LIDAR anyway. I dont even have a front plate, maybe it's time for a laser diffuser.

i need to get my car to a track eventually that's all there is to it. i can't help but push my car on the highway.

i was coming the opposite way i go to work in the mornings on the same highway the other day and i saw a cop hiding on an entrance ramp shooting radar back the way i'd be coming in the morning. he had it right between the corner of the bridge and the first bridge support. if i would have been coming the other way and speeding he would have nailed me.

i hate when you have those "damn, i could have been caught in that" moments.

My last ticket was VASCAR. No radar or laser involved.

never got a ticket. always got out of it. i guess its always good to personally know the cops in town! [:p]

almost all local or township cops now use VASCAR (lines on the road) instead of radar. so unless your gunna be doing alot of highway driving its not really worth the 400bones to buy one. you'd be better off buying a CB
