I want to put some tint on my tail lights and I was wondering which one of these two websites have better film quality.

I've seen some people with smoked tail lights here and I wonder where you guys ordered it from.

my blue on the front is from stickercity.com

its nice and thick, and does not prevent any light output

i had the same deal as lude2euro on my headlamps, but ended up taking it off. as far as your tailights go, i think it will be difficult to wrap some kind of tint to the curvature of the tailights. i tried doing something similar with my old (pre 99.5) tails and gave up.

Thanks for the answers guys. I'm thinking about wraping the tails using a heatgun. I really don't want to use a spray to tint them.

if your asking why about him not wanting to use a spray tint , i would think that would be because they can come out too dark.

spray tinting is an art. it can be heavy in areas or not. you can get a drip and ruin the whole thing. there is a cleaner that can get it off. but its a PITA. its just like spraying a car. good prep and even spray and your OK.

Exactly spraying is hard that's why I decided to go with the film. Does the sticker city one come with the tool you need to apply the film and the spray?

it doesnt come with anything but the sticky film. you can just use a soap/water concentration to spray so you can move the film around, and use a plastic painting putty wiper to squeeze the water out

good luck. the material is very thick and may be difficult to adjust to the curvature of the tails. [up]

heatgun is your friend, keep it on low and not to much spray soap water on both sides on the tail light for movement and on the outside sp when you whip the air bubbles out it slides nicer.

i've used NightShades on Jetta tails before....the rattle can nozzle sucked so if it came ready for a paint gun that would be the heat

I used DecalFX when I did my headlights and its great stuff and I used the missus hair dryer as it’s less brutal and worked great.
