Revo claims to pump out more power than Apr tune....having a hard time choosing which one i should go with...Has anyone ever had a Revo tune and switched to Apr or vice versa?

Although I don't expect people to address which chip you should choose because it will turn into the inevitable flame war, I do think you have a good question there.
I'd like to know also if anyone has switched from one flavor to the other.
I remember reading about an A3 guy that had a bad experience and switched from APR to someone else.
But, considering how APR seems to outnumber all of the others combined by 2 to 1 for our B7's - I'm surprised to have actually only heard about 1 defector.
The rules of thumb with the ECU tunes are:
1. Whichever shop is closest or whichever shop you're most comfortable with.
2. That answer, factored in with whatever the best deal is that you can get at the time.
You'll be happy with the performance increase that you receive from any of the Big 3......APR, REVO, or GIAC.
Good luck.

Don't forget about Neuspeed too, their power gains are excellent and I have had no problems whatsoever so far.
APR has more mod combination options though like a test pipe file, etc.

Evoic is right, as long as you follow those rules you should be golden.
I did Revo, because of convenience, and the guys at Wolfcars offered custom tuning, and if you go with Revo ask for the new revised software.
Then again go with what is more convenient for you.

"REVO claims" - claims is a big word. There is no indication on their website saying what those numbers are. Where they from a front wheel drive car? Are they calculated crank numbers? What correction was used to get the numbers? What dyno? They removed there graphs a long time ago because they were using the transverse numbers for advertising on the A4 car. After some criticisim the graphs disappeared to never return.
I have tried them all three (giac as well). When I dynoed them APR was ahead of REVO. I think APR is smoother and they use a more conservative tune, and make more power.
I recommend doing trials on them. Search and read the forums. There is so much info about this same topic. The three big companies are all making about the same power. They all have ran into fueling issues.

Ok, dispensing with the opinion portion first: I have APR 93 on my car and i really enjoy the extra go, i also like the flip switch capability. Another place i have some work done really likes (and sells) REVO and i think if i did more work to my car i would like the flexibility they offer when you need to do some tweaks. I see you are in NJ, FYI Anchor Audi on the Island sells APR,Milltek etc. through the DEALER, which may be an appealling choice depending on your comfort level with "warranty" issues. Good luck

Yea i got my audi from Anchor Audi, helpful and good people overall. GREAT friggin deals too.......my car has the APR chip and i love it but i didnt get it from them.......also they only do their performance upgrades during the week and not on the weekends........
i had my car GIACED before i went to APR with the K04...
But i think just go to the place that is closest to you or the place that you prefer... in the end all the chips do the same thing.
