I'm going on my first long trip with new RS4. I have the silver leather. One passenger is notorious for using alot of body lotion and sweaty hands (no this isn't a joke question).

Is there anything I should do to protect my leather or is this not a problem?

Don't let her in the car. I mean the body lotion with the oils and whatever, might leave nasty looking marks on the leather.

I wish. [headbang]

It's my wife's friend, and I've been ordered not to request a lotion/sweat free ride.

I have lexol cleaner and conditioner spray. Will this help prevent problems? Or is there another strategy? I have not conditioned the leather with anything yet.

You can clean after ever ride and it should prevent it from getting worst, conditioner wouldn't be bad either.

I like the Meguiar's gold class leather conditioner, put it on a foam app. pad and go to town. If you have the seats w/ little holes in them use product sparingly or start on the bolsters where there are no holes and if you do happen to get some in the holes use an air compressor and a blow gun, that should take care of them...go back with a terrycloth towel and buff out to equal out the swipes.

I've tried all leather conditioners and this one seems to soften the leather the best.

Too bad they don't make the RS4 in a 2 seater coupe... Then you wouldn't have that problem... haha. If you don't want to seem a bit obsessive compulsive, just use a good leather cleaner and conditioner after you're back from the trip, that should be fine. If she does leave marks, use the rear ejector seat button, GREAT CAR. Take care of it!

You 'could' seran-wrap the seats, and say it was for the canine friend...

But in all seriousness, just clean it after the road trip with whatever you have on hand for leather care, then recondition.

I woud just put something over the seats. Considering the price of a RS4 they should understand.

Where you at in AZ? I would love to see an RS4 in person.

Just got back. We covered the seats. And of course they wanted to eat chips and doritos. So I made them buy some wet-ones, too. Feel a little anal, but not chancing ruining the seats.

I'm in Maricopa. Just south of Chandler, AZ

I dont blame you for covering the seats

Maybe next time I head up to Phx I will see if I can catch you on the forums. I would like to see your RS4.
