View Full Version : RNS-E - Question for those who have, are considering or have passed due to the gaps

I have yet to see an RNS-E cleanly installed in a B5, in person. If gaps on the sides exist...any gap at all..meaning if the trim on hazard surround doesn't line up with the face plate on the NAV perfectly, it is unacceptable for me. If there were a way to remedy the side gaps on a B5 install, would you pursue be likely to either pursue the rememdy or to buy the RNS-E if you didn't already have one?

I have been interested in doing nav for a while but basically gave up since there was no clean way to do it for a reasonable amount that I could find

I ended up with an RNS-D unit because I didn't want to deal with the gaps or getting a custom faceplate.
