I have been searching for a Tip Chip and I even emailed AWE and they never got back to me. Has anyone heard of or know of a company with a Tip Chip?????? My car is a 2007 with the newest ECU (I know that made a difference for the Revo Software program).

here's some discussion when i searched for you:

btw, why do people respond lacking accurate info...

Oh, no tip chip for B7, not sure if GIAC has it in the works. But I wouldn't hold my breath because there was NO tip chip for the B6, only B5's had it.

This sucks i wish they would make one, cause I guarantee people would get it, if they understood how much of a difference it makes [headbang]

it doesnt make a difference in the shifting speed only the delay from the time you shift from the lever and the signal that is passed to the tranny basically. just shift a second before you want the shift done and it will be done. practice makes perfect. i practiced it a lot on my prior cars and it was pretty effective

i was so confused. I have a tip and i have a chip so i was like wtf haha. Ya i got it. I dont use the tip to much actually. Like the problem states you push it + and it takes like a second.

Yea but I don't like the second, i like it to instantly change. I guess I will just have to get used to shifting a second earlier at like 5800 rpms when i am really getting on it.

just shift early, problem solved....even with a "tip chip", there is goin to be a slight delay still present due to the nature of an automatic trans....autos have clutches packs, and they slip on purpose when gears changes are made....this slippage contributes to delays also....

read this....it explains the basics of automatics.....

yea i had a fourm about this a while back...giac makes it but they got it for the b6 and arnt even working on it for the b7 yet they say the difference in the b6 and b7 trans is the b7 is soo much better that theres not much they can do but after driving the car for about a month you should be abel to learn the shift delays and respond accordingly
