I'm new with Audi and I love it.
The sad thing is I have to let it go for a bigger car.
I have 06 A4 MT QT Titanium pack, black, Nav, Cold, Tech, it is very loaded, MSRP for 42920 and now it has only 6500 miles.
The price I'm asking is only $33,450 and it's about a month no one is interested with it.

It is true once you buy Audi then you stuck with it forever?

You should probably consider offering it to people in forums OTHER than the B7 section......just my $0.02.

People are here because they already have one and probably don't want another.

If you go to the B5 or B6 forum, you may have better luck finding people looking to upgrade to the new model year.

Also, try posting your info in the VW forums for the Jetta and Passat in case people are looking to make a move up.

Good luck.

audis have a huge depreciation. and your invoice was probably less than 40k. for a few thousand more people would rather have new. so pretty much you take a bath.

I went to Carmax to have it appraised and guess what, they only offered me 26K without any interest having it.

Sad sad for a nice car.....

Carmax said 24k for mine, and two dealers said 25k. Wow.

I see a lot of cars for sale here where I think "if I didn't already have my car." I'm sure it's the same for the majority of people on this forum. You need to go to websites that people actually looking to buy cars go to. I sold my badass R32 on autotrader in less than a week, all I got here were trade offers.

Because as someone stated...it's in a sense too new....you could almost drive it another year and probably get the same price you are getting now....

Sad sad for a nice car.....

In late 2004, I had my 02 B6 with 30,000 appraised by CARMAX.

I'd just gotten divorced and was trying to get rid of the second car (more precisely, the payment)

They offered me $11,000 and wouldn't budge an inch. They acted like they were doing me a favor.

NADA wholesale price was $14,000.
NADA Retail was over $18,000.

CARMAX lowballs bigtime when they buy from you.

It wouldn't be so bad if their prices reflected that when you buy from them.

depends on the market, carmax usually give high prices... like my friends POS 95Honda accord with 140k miles was sold to carmax for 3k with damages around the car...couple months ago.

have you tried listing them on autotrader, cars.com, recycler, craigslist?
I've sold a couple of cars in less than 5 days on cars.com

Don't buy a car for it's resale.
If you like to change cars often then lease do NOT
loan purchase or pay cash.

BMW has a very good resale but even they depreciate.
If you're worried about a good return on your money put it in an appreciating investment like low risk stock or put it in the bank or buy a house.
Cars depreciate . < that's a period.
