displays the v1 output to the center cluster. And you can mute it using your steering wheel. There is also a program where you can select options such as don't make any noise when going under 40mph ect.

Keith,
It is ready. We have not had a chance to post any install documents yet
though (as you have seen). The install process is actually a pretty car
specific thing. Once you get in behind the radio to tap the can bus,
all you have to do is plug in the rest of the V1 and hide the wires.
The wiring diagram shows everything you need to know.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks
Tudor

I haven't recieved my V1 yet, but I'm assuming you can connect it to this interface and have the V1 (red output) turned off? So it would concel it at night? is this correct?

anytime you connect a concealed display the main unit goes dark.

Ahh. I'm still looking at better mounting positions than above the rear-view mirror.

I swear I saw a picture on this forum (before that horrible hacker). That showed a small box that could be mounted near the back window and just looked like a brake light box....

Looked kidna cool. I just think it kinda defeats the purpose of a concealed display when you get pulled over and there is a very visible radar detector mounted above your rear-view mirror. But, maybe that's just me.

Btw. these people are very responsive via email and are super helpful so far with talking about this new product.

what does this do again? it makes the red only screen into a color one?

The only thing about putting it by the brake light is no laser protection. But if the V1 goes off on laser you are pretty much F-ed any way

I guess instead of spending another $40 for the V1-Remote Display another $120 dollars will get you this upgrade...

I just wonder if it's possible to really mess up your trip computer or if i trust the programmer of this just released product...i don't see any disclaimer or warrenty or support.

they have been developing this for years. It is only sending information to your cluster. It is not reprogramming anything. It also takes input from your MFSW and tells the V1 what to do. (that is what the control box is for)

that's awesome. I might be all over this, if the install is easy.

what are we giving up with adding this? only not being able to see radio info in cluster? or does it ruin the streering wheel controls as well?

nothing. Only comes up when there is a "bogey" and radio controls still work as normal when there is no bogey

Would this work with the Beltronics STi Driver (see link below) or is it specifically designed to work with V1 ?

Unfortunately we have very strict laws regarding radar detectors and being from the country that develops the latest Spectre III RDD (radar detector detector) and is fitted to every highway patrol vehicle the V1 doesn't stand a chance. The only product on the market that currently works is the Bel STi Driver.

is this STi Driver better than the V1? does it pickup laser? its pretty expensiv ei must add

kak39

I'd assume this is very V1 specific coding. Just judging from the output on Trip computer...

The B6 A4 isnt CAN bus. I believe the B6 S4 (our cars) are also not a CAN bus. B7 is as is new GTI/A3, etc. Double check me. cheers! Mike

hey mike, your best 1/4 mile time is .5 seconds slower than an rs4. Lots of people aren't too happy about that :-) You should see how bad I am getting insulted on the RS4 forum over yonder.

Huh, who got their RS4 on the forums to go a 12.7?

they are quoting road and track at 12.8. Pretty hard to read the image. I don't think any of them are skilled. They keep calling the a4 and s4 a POS and unrefined.
