why not get one of the small hydraulic hand jacks from pepboys? i don;t trust the audi jack and keep the above mentioned jack in my car at all times. i think i got it for like $30 at pepboys.

not only do i trust it more, but you can jack up your car in 30secs vs 5mins with the shitty audi jack.

kinda looks like this (but smaller):

I bought one of those small floor jacks but I can't seem to find out how to bring it down. I think I have to return mine

on mine the release is a screw you need to undo. it accepts a flathead screwdriver and is located below the "pumping" lever.

thanks but i don't even use that crap any more. i now carry a breaker bar which is so much easier to use than that gay little tire iron.

You want this then, I use this at my house and take it with me when I go to the track. It costs $79.95 at Summit and fits fine under my lowered A4. Floor jack weight is only 28.6 lbs.

I have that jack but from sears and it is heavier then the other race jack I posted up about. I guess I can put them both on the scale and find out right now.

(added) put both on the scale.

2 1/4 ton trolley jack from Sears = 24 lbs

Summit Racing 3 ton alum racing jack = 24 lbs
