I was just wondering, what is the difference between buying rotors from, say, ecode or awe, etc. as opposed to buying eBay off-brand ones? Are there any disadvantages to buying the ones commonly found on eBay? I've found that they are much cheaper, and my car is in dire need of new rotors. I found all 4, cross-drilled and/or slotted for $199 including shiping on eBay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i dont' know man I have heard that some warp fast but my buddy got a whole "brand name"( I dont' believe it is) brake set up for his TT300zx and he beats on the brakes once in a while and they hold up just fine... your choice I guess, I would go for it. it's not like it's the last set of rotors your gonna buy.

Someone on Ebay sells Zimmerman cross drilled rotors which are a good brand and the same as what I have on my car..

Yeah, I saw those, but I also saw some off brand ones that are 199 for all 4. I mean, how different can they really be? I don't see why they should be much weaker or anything. My guess would be that the company got some brand name ones and replicated them, but I don't know. Unless they're made of a weaker grade steel I don't see why they should be any worse, but maybe you guys can tell me differently?

I've got the ebay drilled/slotted rotors all around and they rock. The coating actually holds up better against rust than my zimmermans that I've used in the past. Go for it.

I know this is an old posting, but what ones did you get? I need to get rotors ASAP.
