I am curious, I detail my car then I go on a short drive. I get bugs and crap and dust all over. The first thing I want to do is detail again. I just don't have the time. How do you guys keep your rides so clean......all the time?

Phil,
any suggestions? will the detail spray take off the bug guts and things like that?[confused] [=(] [drive]

How to keep a car looking good?

First off, it all starts with a good base of protection. Whether it is a durable sealant or wax, a protective layer of lsp should reduce the adhesion of crap on the paint. This allows you to easily wipe off any tar/bugs/bombs off your paint, while resisting and reducing marring from the foreign matter.

The most important thing to do when 'quick detailing' your car is the quick detailer itself, and your microfiber towel. While the sealant/wax reduces the stickiness of the foreign matter, it is the QD's job to clean, and restore shine and slickness to the paint. A good QD and MF combo should inflict next to no marring on the paint.

For things such as bird bombs and tar, it would be best to clean if off right away, as they get harder and harder to remove with time. I personally soak the annoying substances with QD, and cover it with a damp MF. Come back to it, spray more QD, and wipe off in lengthwise motions, not circular. Flip the towel, and give that panel a nice spray wax to boost the protection, and restore the appearance.

While I have no experience with Adam¡¦s detail spray, I¡¦m sure it would be able to take off bird bombs and tar. Just remember to saturate the area, let the cleansers in the QD do its work, and wipe off with a MF. Then follow up the area with the wax/sealant of your choice.

Good luck!

More.

It also depends on the color of your car. A black car will always be harder to keep the ¡§Just detailed look¡¨ as opposed to a silver car.

Also, there are some anti-static products on the market today that reduce the attraction of dust. They will help a great deal in the dust that accumulates on the paint, and reduce the need to QD your car, due to dust.

A caution if you will. If the car gets REALLY dusty, and you don't feel comfortable with QD'ng your car, don't. There's nothing worse than putting in fresh swirls on a just polished paint. Don't risk the chance for swirls, and give the car a quick wash instead.

Good luck!
