Hey guys hopefully i can get an Answer here. Well i drive a 98.5 Audi A4 Quattro Manual and i recently bought one koni Shock since my old one was bent because of my accident. I ordered a new one and received it and gave it to my mechanic to install it thinking there wounldnt be a problem. but then i get a call back and my mechanic told me that it wasnt the right shock, he said that i shaft of the new shock was wider and the old one was a bit tighter... so i was wtf i called the store i got it from maybe they set me the wrong one... well that wasnt the case they told me to get them the part# for the old shock and i did.... and they told me that Koni discountiend that shock.... so what do i do now ???? is they any way to make the new shock fit ??? even though its a bit wider ??

There shouldn't be a problem ... either your shop gave you the wrong shock or your mechanic just did not bother to try to fit the new shock. Also. are you replacing a front or a rear shock?

Pls post some pics of the replacement.

BTW always replace shocks in pairs!
