Hi everyone, I have been on AZ for a bit now but not really posting. Anyone know where the best shop around SF to do a stage 3 for a b5 s4? Thanks

Streetwerke has done a few before... they're in Palo Alto and you could do before and after dynos right there too...

also in the East Bay, TomasSportTuning in San Pablo...

took the Avant to both and had great service every time! [up]

2nd that. Otherwise make a trip down to Socal and have Mike at Wicked Motorsports take care of it.

When are you looking to do it? If you have time and any kind of mechanical skills it's not a tough job. Just time consuming. I've done around 8 of them and have a possible one early next year. Streetwerke does great work for the bay. I'm over in Sacto., but more than willing to do it if you can be w/out a car for a little bit. Depending on what you are doing, depends on the time frame. Shoot me an email if you'd [email protected]

Dynospot Racing in San Jose. I swear by em and they're a GIAC shop if you are going that route, although they will do APR too.

Thanks everyone. I'll make some calls to all of the above and see which will be the best route for me.

So how many hours do you think this install will take? 7+ hours so 700 bucks? for install?

Streetwerke will not quote 7 hours for this install...I don't remember the exact numbers...but I think it closer to twice that time alotment. As them and find out for sure.

Streetwerke wants $$$$$$$$ for a turbo swap. Then add on if you want clutch, etc. etc. But they do great work.

And if someone can do a turbo swap in 7 hours...I'd LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to sit and watch. They'd have to be cutting corners right and left or having 2-3 guys working on it at the same time. Some of the best guys on AW can't even do it in 8-9 or even 12. I know WMS and Piggy have done more than me...and I don't think they can do it under 10hrs.

But, in the end it's your decision and whatever you feel comfortable with.

For a 1.8T maybe...I think you're getting that confused with the 2.7T. TOTALLY different animal.

Whoops... didn't see that it was an S4. I was reading and saw you guys talking about how it takes more than 10 hours for turbo swap and i'm thinking, WTF! Bullshit it does. I could pop my Ko3 out so fast.

THen i realized you were talking about a S4.
