Still need to put them on a scale(battery is 15.4 lbs) vs the stock battery/bracket. Both the battery and billet bracket were bought from Mike at Pure Motorsport.

mike did you buy the charger for that battery, you may want to invest in it.

by the looks of the bracket and all, id think hes putting it in the stock location.

Im just curious, wouldn't adding that bracket add weight since there is already a spot to mount the battery? To save weight, wouldnt you have to remove and cut away the stock mounting tray? My battery just has two little tabs that bolt it down. Fill me in here.

Nice!

Is that gonna go in the trunk?

oem tiedown won't work and most sanctioned race regulations require a secure battery tie down. It appears to be the billet aluminum unit so it weighs a few ounces at best

I'd love to do a lightwieght batt but I need something that's gonna start in the dead of winter reliably. Using a trickle charger is a PITA too.

Correct. The billet aluminum unit is very light. I mounted it to the stock battery tray using a stock bolt location and a 2nd bolt/nut combo.

Battery went into the stock location since relocating it into the back of the car would just add weight with the extra power cable.
