I think they are only releasing the BT kit for the GTi not the B7! from what I was told

I would say you are correct, however from someone that doesn't even know what turbo they are using. Your information isn't the most believable usually.
From what I understand is VW asked APR to build a car for them. Hence the vw kit will come out first.

I agreed the GTI kit would most likely come out first. And i was noting your information is not usually the most accurate beleivable b/c you don't even know what turbo the BT is using. I am not sure who you spoke to who told you the gti kit was comming out first, however I do agree it would come out first just b/c they developed it for a vw first.

This is correct, however VF engineering will also be releasing there S4 SC kit as well... We'll have some pics tomorrow after we get back from the south hall... I'm already beat and we've only done maybe 25% of SEMA...[=(]
VWofA had a battle with WRD, ABD, APR, and I believe a few others to build a kick ass GTI... We'll report later if you guys are interested in these cars.

I have pics, but I left my USB card reader at home [:(] . But I'll pickup another one in the morning. Funny thing was, I didn't run into the APR booth when I walked through every exhibit today (felt smaller than last year)... I'll have to look for it tomorrow. I didn't seen any B7 A4's, but I did see a couple of B7 S4's (one was an Avant), a gunmetal RS4 parked outside, and a bunch of A3's.... I counted around 4-5 of them. All of the A3's and S4's had kits on them. There was a white S4 avant with an Oetinger (sp) kit and it looked really good on the car.
There were a bunch of new GTi's in all kinds of booths, and there was a nice gunmetal 2007 S8 in the wheel section parked next to a navy colored DB9 Volante (I'll check on my mem card to see which booth it was but I snapped a few pics of that). Even got pics today with some celebs like Chip Foose, Carol Shelby, Ice T & Cocoa [:p], and with a couple of UFC guys and ref Big John McCarthy [:)] .

They should have left the stock rims on the S8 instead of the ones they put on. Those clear rims are crazy. Do you have anymore pics of the whole car, I think it's a Benz. Peace

Stock S8 wheels do look a lot better. It was a rim company trying to show off there wheels.
The S4 has different wheels on each side.
The middle of the wheel is FULLY clear, the black middle you see is part of the 2 piece rotor.

i work with plastic on a daily basis, and im pretty sure those clear wheels can only handle a static load (can't drive on them). even if it is 1.25" or 1.5" BR (bullet rated) acrylic....i can't see those wheels holding up....
but as for a way to display brakes....uber uber clever!!!!

Them wheels are 2" polycarbonate somethin for 2 grand a piece and like you said you're supposed to be able to drive on em fine, but they don't allow proper cooling of the brakes and what the hell do you do when brake dust starts to build up?

2" is pretty thick, and very $$$....even at cost and bulk....its not cheap....cryo is the chemical company that makes most if not all the quality plastics....i just hope they used cast acrylic, cause extruded will bow after sometime....
and at 2" i guess you can ride on them....i just dont trust it...
that silver audi looks like shite!!

The sides and rear where Fiber Glass, the front was Polyeurotin or something, the guy looking at the car right next to me said, cant really trust what he said, but it did look fiber glass

APR won overal for the VW event and their project GTI was over at the VW booth, which was amazing btw. Wait until you guys see the VW R GTI that was released. It's stunning. The carputer in APR's car was unreal as well. Streetdeck does a kick ass job.

Are you talking about the Nothelle kit on the Q7??
I talked to their product manager before they released the product and he mentioned that they would be showing it at SEMA.
Just curious if that's the show-stopper that you're referring to.

One side has 19" Oettinger RE's in Graphite-Silver and the other side has 20" CEC c859's that were just released that week.
