...the noise is not only apparent when I am depressing the brake pedal.
I have a new-to-me 2004 Audi S4 6M with 17k miles on it.
When I am in my parking garage with the windows down and move the car forward and backward I can hear a high-pitched squeak that does not sound like a traditional pad-on-rotor sound.
The sound seems to occur when the car pitches a bit after I depress the brake pedal. But if I let the engine brake the car it seems like I hear the noise as well. I don't hear it when I jounce/rebound the car manually by pushing on the bumpers (front or rear) however.
What are our emergency brakes like? Could it be the self adjuster actuating?
Anyone else with this noise?
