Car is a daily driver

The car is tracked agressively once a month

What is good pad for the ST-40 fronts, and stock calipers rear? That is a decent price range. A good all around pad, that wont die at the track.

I'm a big fan of Carbotech Pads.
Lots of autocross guys know about them.
They have a slightly aggressive daily pad which is fine for occassional track use. OF coarse they make stuff thats much more aggressive but keep in mind that the more aggressive, the hotter they need to be to work well and LOTS and LOTS of brake dust on your pretty wheels.

PBR/Axxis Ultimate Ceramic pads for the street and Carbotech Panther XP10 for the track. There isn't any pad that will have good cold bite on the street and stand up to an aggressive lapping session. I tried it with the Carbotech Bobcats and destroyed them in one track day with several drive offs due to fade. The Panthers are so much better than the Bobcats on the track that it is hard to put into words. The cheap ($60 vs. $160) PBR/Axxis pads are better than the Bobcats in every way. No dust, no noise, great cold bite. The Bobcats had terrible cold bite and squealed like a stuck pig after the track day. I was really disappointed by them. Larry at Carbotech was great about it but I won't go near a set of Bobcats again even if they are free.

If you run two sets of pads you can either run two sets of rotors (front only really) or drive the track pads on the street for a day or two before the track day to get them reacquainted with the rotors.

I've used Hawk HP+ with good results. Of course, they warn you on a sheet in the box that they will dust, squeal, and tear up rotors.

I had to really abuse them to get them to fade at the track.

I'm running Ferodo DS2500 on the same setup although I haven't tracked with them yet. Very good bite cold, not too dusty, but a little noisey when cold. I haven't been able to make them fade yet.

Don't forget, it's not just the pads that causes that "fade" feeling at the track.... make sure you upgrade your brake fluid as well. It sucks when you overheat your brake fluid and you hit the stiff pedal and the car barely feels it's slowing down.

Absolutely. If you track you car your fluid should be replaced a minimum of twice a year. Lines should be changed every two years.

+1 for Hawk HP+...if you route a nominal amount of air to them, they'll be able to handle quite a bit of abuse.

for the street i really like the carbotech bobcats. But it seems important that you don't ever take them to the track otherwise they will be toasted. I actually like them better than the Axxis Ultimates for the street. On the track i run the ferrodo DS3000's F&R. But these are track only pads.

The only pad that might be close to what you want is the Ferrodo DS2500 or the new BHP XPS. But i don't have any personal experience with the BHP. It might be worth calling stoptech since they sell the new BHP pad and get their input.
