Well they were the 260/268 set which not many people actually run. The 252/260 are what most people buy or bought.
They guy that was selling those was doing so for a long time, posted plenty of time and must have just become desperate for money which is why he sold them for $200. Funny thing is I actually know who bought them.

^^ If *any* newly built engine is supposed to sound like this, then I rather not have it under my hood. Wonder what kind of noise it will make when this thing is revved to 7000 RPM.

Most of the noise comes from the injectors..The engine has less than 1 hour of running, there are also agressive cams and other stuff

I can assure you there is no noise from the tensioner and it gets plenty of oil..I listened to it with a steto....the noise is from the injectors and prob some of the lifters are not fully loaded with oil

What injectors? Because that is pretty loud for injectors unless the camera is just making it louder then it really is but I have a vid of my engine running with cams/1000cc injectors and it wasn't anywhere near that loud.

siemens deka 630cc...I dunno why they are so noisy, when i listen with a stetoscope all the noises are in the fuel rail, there is no noise coming from the tensioner area...And you are right the camera is amplifing the noise

I wonder if any other Siemen deka 630cc owners would mind posting up vids of their injectors running. Just suprised at how loud they are compared to my 1000cc injectors. Here is my video, engine bay part is near the end. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/d...mps_643749.htm

Yes I switched to a spec steel fw for the same reason, I even removed the front main pulley and reinstalled the factory dampener...
I couldn't believe those injectors spent the entire last week checking and checking from where the noise was coming and all I can find is the injectors, sounds scary but that's the way it is

Did you fully break in the lifters?
You need to let them sit for 30-60mins after bolting the cams down.
You then need to run the car at 2000-3000rpms for about 10minutes to load the lifters and get them working properly with adequate oil.

Mike,
My car before I fixed my head issue and changed a ton of things around. Siemens/Deka 630cc injectors. Mind you the injectors are quiet relative to the noise in my head.
VIDEO... this includes the 2nd set of 'used' intake lifters as well as my original VVT solenoid.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USCk87EkiCg
(I just ran outside to do this after finally warming up inside. Wasn't ready for 15F weather so I'm complaining a bit.)
If all goes well tonight I can update my thread with what exactly happened to my head. Until then, I can not say anything publicly.

it has been sitting for months..I didn't run it yet because I am taking it easy for starts..It will get plenty of high revs once i take it on the road believe me

No, I'm not talking hi-revs or WOT. I'm taking keeping it at 2000rpms for a few minutes to build up oil pressure and ensure the lifters are properly filled with oil.
I did this back in February with the new lifters I bought. Took about 10-15minutes for them to quiet down to levels I would consider normal. I then went up and down the road driving normally (shifting before 3500rpm and accelerating via partial throttle).
Without listening to your video (i'm at work and can't see it) I want to rule out the possibility that the new lifters have not been properly 'broken in' and the noise is just the lifters.

ok I will do it as soon as I get a chance...I took the front wheels off to istall the stern arms and rs4 brakes
wich brings me to this question..aren't the rs4 disks supposed to be matched per each side? Both my disks have the same part # and they look as if they are for the driver's side

A little teaser...worked my ass a few hours yesterday and a few hours today..I still have to bleed them and alignment
Also after searching online for vacuum pumps I came to the conclusion that they are too expensive for nothing..
SO I am thinking of fabricating my own pump using a 12v tire compressor which is less than 50$...I will just need a pressure switch which is about 30$ on summit
What do you guys think????

you shoudl not have 5in/hg w/3652's, it should be 9-10. It should have no affect on the brake pedal. I've never had an issue with them, and that lifter tick should not be like that.
The lifters should have been submersed in a container of oil, and "bled" a bunch.
