I am actually investigating rust converters for my F250, any idea on how this compares to POR-15? I am pulling the bed off to treat the whole frame with a rust converter/inhibitor and then spraying a base coat. Haven't seen much info on this one.

The fertan looks more like rust convertor than paint, whereas the POR is the paint also. You could try using the Fertan to get rid of the rust first, but POR has their own product for that already anyway.

I haven't used the Fertan, but I've used POR on a few powerstrokes and even an 80 yr old dodge, and at least for the trucks, it's been great. It seems expensive until you use it and realize how much coverage you get.

Thanks for the info, looks like fertan sells both a primer paint and converter. May stick to the tried and true POR.

Slightly different application processes, but very similar results.
