Saw this RS3 at Caffeine and Octane in Atlanta last weekend.... raised letter quattro here. Also, this is a shameless bump for my B8 grill still up for sale as seen on page 1 of this thread. :)

This is a great thread. Thank you OP for asking, and for everyone's responses. This will come in handy.

How exactly did you do that? Cut it out? Your car looks sweet.

Think that look is sick... who needs the crash bar anyway lol. Go big or go home I always say.. +1 on this thread aswell. I'm in the same boat. I'm buying my first audi this spring and the grill is one of the FIRST things I'm doing to the car of many mods.. Gonna be my everyday but I only drive 10 miles a day to and from work. Summer time on weekends is when she will see more road...

Appreciate it! Crash bar is held in by 4 bolts, 2 on each side under headlights. Removed crash bar and relocated the horns since they are mounted to the ends of the crash bar.

    Wouldnít recommend for daily drivers.

Doug97GXE- Do you have any pics of your car dead on from the front?
I'm an Imola with the metal mirrors and I'm 50/50 between the black and the brushed chrome.

On eBay there are a few different vendors selling them from different locations. Do you remember which one you clicked?

    Thank you Sir-

You are aware that the cost of removing the crash bar could be your life? Just sayin'...

I'm fully aware. BUT if you are a driver who pays attention on the road you will be able to avoid a front end collision. And before everyone jumps on me yes things COULD happen that can not be avoided. I don't want to turn this into a pissing match. I'm just saying. To put that type of intercooler in the front with the crash bar blocking it is pointless for show quality. And also the crash bar will block air flow from coming in? I'm not one for performance without show. Also I don't think I would do that much to my car when I get it to have the absolute must need for it.. For track it is awesome.

    Yep. Darwinism at its finest

Might as well delete seatbelts because for show it looks cleaner plus weight reduction for track.

See I knew this was going to go that way. But yes on the track it's even more of a risk. Your doing at least 5x what you would do on the street. I don't think I would want to survive a crash at 130-150...

I'm sure if someone wanted you could have an open brace welded up. Almost like a open metal Truss.
