Yeah, my last car was a Maxima. That VQ engine is a beast. I loved that car.

Come now Infiniti's aren't that bad! True the Audi name probably carries more prestige but its not like it's a Scion. (No offense to Scion owners). I was fairly impressed with the fit and finish on the G35.

Anthony... you race??
Street racing is bad, and no way a reputable forum admin should present himself.

LOL... that's what I told the cop once when I got busted "driving spiritedly" doing 120+, which also happens to be alongside a Viper going the exact same speed. I told him was just "speeding", but he begged to differ.
reason why I ask is because after modding my G35 with boltons, I could take a S4 B6 and B5 s4(chipped ONLY) from a rolling start in 3rd gear...pulled maybe a 1/4 car in 3rd, and by end of 4th, up almost whole car and 5th, was well over a car length ahead..again, this is after my mods, NO FI, just bolt ons..

$70,000 for a fast Nissan? Thanks, but no thanks. I don't care how fast it is, I could find much better things to purchase with that much cash. Last gen M5? E90 (the new one with the V8) M3? Sure it isn't as fast as the M5, and I'm not really sure about the new M3, but I'd take either of those cars over a supercharged G35 any day.
Friend of mine works at the Infiniti dealer and he says the fit and finish just isn't as good as it should be, and the brakes in stock form are terribly weak.

I find it hard to believe that Brembos in stock form on anything would be terribly weak.

I would assume it was considering it was installed by the dealership and it was Stillen stuff. Kinda the same thing with BMW honoring a warranty with Dinan and Ford honoring a warranty with Saleen. If the work is installed in house, then they usually cover it.

Hey HyperM3..I have to say, I LOVE your E36...it is ridiculous...I am a huge fan of BMW, especially the body styling of the E36yep, i'll be the first to say it, I LOVE BMW, Audi is good, but I'm just waiting for the new E90 M3s to come out, then I'll purchase a E46 M3 and use the Audi as the everday car..I'll have a pretty good line up of cars then..
Audi for everyday, S2000 for summers and M3 for the spirited driving days/track

Thanks for the compliments. I also love the E36 styling above all. More distinctive as time goes on too. Have a buddy who had two E36 M3's (leases) and then an E46 M3. Ended up getting rid of the E46 because of too many problems and constantly said he should have kept one of the E36's. He now drives a jeep regardless.
Anytime you want to meet up for some spirited driving though, Im all for it. Love the color of your S2k btw.

I agree completely. Ive done all the mods to my cars personally or with help, never by any install shop. Took me 19 hours (including mistakes) to do the supercharger setup on the M3 and Im damn proud of that.

Just because they're Brembo doesn't mean they're good. He said that's probably the number one complaint about the G35 is the brakes. That and rattles in the interior from all the plastic.

Your buddy probably doesnt know what hes talking about.
Go look at the 60-0 braking in the magazines with the brembos, its damn good. I dont even have the brembos on my 350 and the braking is incredible. my 350 doesnt rattle at all

What mods did you have on your G that let you pull on a B6 S4? Those S4's pull pretty hard.

Another friend of mine works at a Nissan test track and he said even the Nissan engineers complain about the G35 brakes when they're testing that car. I've heard from many different people that the G35 brakes are inadequate, and I highly doubt all of them - including Nissan test engineers themselves - would complain about something like that without reason.
