Got destroyed by a G35 coupe on the freeway.....

We were going about 90 and I was in fifth and we both punched it. He completetly destroyed me. I let up after about 3 seconds cause there was no use. I need a supercharger bad! That is all.

No, but I've never had the chance to see how quick they were so I thought I'd test the waters. I just wasn't expecting it to take off as fast as it did from 90 mph. I figured he'd walk me little by little but he was just gone. It was one of the new ones, don't they have like 295 hp or something?

I rather own my A4 than the G35 anyway.

yeah that was driver error for not down shifting into 4th....that would have been a better race. not that i expect a 220chp car to take the 298chp car. but not downshifting will let him just walk away like nothing.

I have a 6 speed and 5th at 90 is @ 4k rpms if I remember correctly. Next time if I even have the heart I'll try 4th.

ahhhh....6spd. I can understand you not downshifting into 4th...it would put you close to rev limiter and then you would need to shift back into 5th....waste of time and power. you should have tried to pull him back a little so you can get into 4th gear at 4k and then do your run and see what results you get. for us 5 speeds....i think it can push it close to 120 in 4th. its been a while since i've had the need to go that fast. maybe its 115....i can't remember its been so long.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well I kept up with a G35 coupe the other day. From a green light, he didn't pull on me nearly as hard as I thought he would. This Neuspeed software I'm running on the B7 is damn strong! And of course, I have the 2.0T...

I ran MSAR when he was driving his gf's red G35 coupe and I pulled on him pretty good. He told his gf that he was going to Fvck me up good but he didn't know I just had the GTRS Elliminator installed at Eurocode tuning. Just need a 1.8T and an Eliminator.

The new 3.2 FSI V6 is 255hp. Old 3.0 V6 is 220hp.

I can first hand talk shit about my car and the G35 coupe, becuase that is the car that I owned before. I had a 04 6MT and there is NO WAY that my car with a Stage 1+ would've kept up. Except, i did race one from a 1st gear rolling start and in 1st and 2nd gear we were dead even and as soon as we started 3rd gear, all i saw were taillights, smaller and smaller, as he dusted me by 4 cars easy, as we begun 4th gear. Those cars will pull very very hard in third gear and so forth. When i first bought my G35, i took it to Englishtown, NJ and was consistently running 14.5 -14.7 at 98-99mph with 2.4 60' times, when it was 101 degress on the track!!! After putting on an intake/pulleys/test pipes, 3" exhaust, I was running 14.2s and once 14.0 at 101mph, with 2.3 60' times. I know that if I could get some damn tracion, that car was easily into the 13s. If I was a better driver launching the car, stock it could definitely do it low 14s stock. Not too bad for a heavy car. On the highway, with my setup, it was a monster. I pulled and hung with some fast ass cars. Anyways, i'm happy with the Audi, it is more practical living in NJ. I have to say G35s do have a nice and different style to them.

beware the around the VQ35 V6, it is a very potent motor stock. coming from a FF maxima i can say that the motor is a beast. puts down as much torque as chipped 1.8's and weighs much less. it couldnt get much traction off the line, but rolling starts it would be a rocket.

I considered the G35 recently as I was looking for my Ultra sport. The car has great looks as a coupe but I'm not big on the sedan and I really wanted 4 doors. The new ones are 298hp, the interesting thing is they are automatic stock and it costs more, and adds weight if I'm not mistaken, to get the manual which is different from most eveything else I've seen.
