Well good luck! I just hope the integrity of the cage holds up if it needs to from speeds generated by doing an 8 second pass.

Just got a wrecked 01 if you need anything from a partout...

I can't wait to see an 8 Second car. I'm curious how the aerodynamics will be for this?

Suprised your "cage builder" didnt design the main hoop around the driver and his seat.
Are they ever going to install supports/ harness mounts for the main hoop?
Also surprised they haven't fixed the cage reinforcement issue on the rear of the cage that i pointed out to you, good luck passing tech with that....

The principle behind it is valid. You can further push the limits of the combustion mixture with optimized cooling.... closed deck blocks are strong but not the best for cooling. Curious to know where you found this?

I didn't know how to answer any of those questions so I asked JD from KROWRX

Yes the main hoop is 42Ē tall and standard fixed back seats are 32Ē tall, regulations require 0 sliders but I took that in a count adding more head room as well. Also the harness bar is tied in and you wrap the harnesses for maximum strength! The rear will have multiple bracing but mounting rear rad and fuel cell and mock up rear firewall is done before bracing to ensure proper clearance.

Avk crank. Rods have been discussed in countless threads. As far as pistons, I went with Mahle 142 pistons for Issam. 82.5mm for a little extra cylinder wall thickness and also room to bore over in the future if it is ever needed.

I'll leave the pros and cons to someone else. It's also been discussed in a lot of other threads.

You should consider the stroke to bore ratio in your build.
Increasing the stroke will increase piston speed at the same RPM.

Id say keep it simple and not put the life of your engine in the hands of a machinist that might not know what hes doing with a 2.7
If i were you id do rods with stock pistons and either 2.7 heads with 2.8 cams or 2.8 heads and cams depending upon your turbo choice.
