    Thinking of selling RS4

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey Guys,

Im trying to get a feel of what my car will sell for. I just had another kid and need an suv but debating if worth to sell or not.

Rs4 2007 - Phantom Black and will have 95,000 miles.
APR supercharger tvs1740. put on at 85,000.
New injectors, coils, and plugs and lots more.

PM for details if you are interested and live in Bay Area, meet in San Jose/Campbell if you want to check out.

Car alone without charger should be around 25 for the condition its in, but also thinking of taking off the blower and doing part out, OR sale as is 35-40. Blower alone was about 15 with hp fuel pumps.

what you guys think, is this too pricey or about right?

I can't comment on the market in the US but in my opinion you won't be able to add 10 grand to the asking price because it has a super charger. It's a £15k upgrade but you'll be lucky to add 8-9k to the price with it. They just don't add that much value. Probably easier to sell without it too, people are very wary of them and the perceived running costs.

    Just my thoughts.

I bought my Avus Pearl with 91K, all OEM and in excellent shape for $25,000 in April. It was under market by a Grand or so.

I bought my 08 RS4 with 65k for $29,800. It would of sold for more but the owner needed new tires, new brakes, and a carbon clean.

I had been watching the various car sales sites for a good 6 months before I bought my '07 a couple of months ago, from a Ford dealership with 71000 on the clock and paid $29k all in.

This is just my personal opinion but anything with less than 60000 miles goes for $30k and above, with less miles. Anything with more than 90000 miles goes for around $25k and less with more miles. Of course the usual factors like accidents, service records and number of owners will affect those figures.

I'd take off the SC and sell it and the car separately. You might get someone who wants them together but they won't pay as much as you'll get for them separately.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

With the miles and upgrades I'd say $32k. Be patient, the right buyer is out there.

Thanks for the info guys, Thinking part out and back to stock may be the best way to go for the money. But if the right buyer comes along may be easier to just cut a deal. Well see how it goes but definitely have some time. I was thinking x5m or amg truck but may also consider something cheaper and keep the RS because it is way too much fun.

Bought my RS with 112k in June for $25k. Paid slightly over value but it was from a reputable dealer that had serviced the car. It doesn’t look like a 112k mile car though. Had exhaust and the DRC replaced with coil overs already.

As much as I like watching the auctions on BaT, it depresses me no end when an RS4 comes up for sale. An Imola with 27k on the clock just went for $33.5k!!!!

BaT has been a serious buyers market on Audis for past 6 months. I would not sell an Audi there- at least not now

Depressed as in no one should sell their RS4? or no one should sell their RS4 on BaT? or $33.5k is too low, or too high, for an Imola with 27k?

Serious question as I've been contemplating listing my 22k Misano on BaT.

Depressed, as in recently they go for far less on BaT than everywhere else. Whoever got that Imola, got an absolute gem at that price.

In the last 12 months, I think most online sites have had RS4's listed around $25-33k for 65000-95000 mile cars.

If you listed yours on BaT, given the way this auction went, I'd like to think you'd get more simply because it's a much nicer color but who knows. Personally, I think a mint 22k RS4 should go for something like $37-39k at an absolute minimum but then again, a car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

You know you'll regret it, if you do sell it?

Believe me, I know that. Brings a smile to my face everytime I drive it, or even look at it.
Have too many Audis, all of which I really like, but need to thin the herd.

I bought mine for $22k with 121k miles a year ago. Since then, I've put $17k (yes $17k) into it, mostly for preventative maintenance including CC, injectors, clutch/flywheel, tie rods/controls arms, etc.

I had thought about what I'd done ($40k for a 10 year old Audi with 125k+ miles)...then I was finally able to go for a real drive today...wouldn't sell it for any other sedan available at the moment.

    So Dayta,

Just curious...Knowing what you know now and given the chance for a do over, would you have preferred a $40k car a year ago with less than half the miles of your current ride?

$17k is a sh1tload to spend on what you listed. What else have you had done?

I too would be interested in connecting if you're selling the APR Supercharger (and all the components)

    Thanks, Ryan
