Anyone have experiences with German Performance Services in Brighton? Looks like they're they only GIAC dealer in the greater boston area.

And correct me if I'm wrong...but wasn't APR bought-out by some management company a few years back? I'm definitely curious to know the current group-think around GIAC vs. APR vs. Motoza, etc. But gawd, it's suuuuch a newbie thing to ask :-)

    Tune: $1200-ish
    pulleys: $400-ish
    TCU: $1100?
    labor: $400

thats $3100 with very little research done. i'm sure someone else has more exact numbers, but my vote is to East Coast Euro
they don't fluff their numbers or split hairs over labor cost. i have 100% trust in them for anything that they do for my car

GPS is a great shop. I've had work done by Marc for the last 10 years. They've always taken good care of me and my cars.

They built this a few years back:

Get the mobile dongle and you should be ok. I am stage 1 e85 and have had the same question. I have no experience with it so I could be wrong, but have a few buddies who haven't ran into any problems and they both suggest the investment. They're running a sale till the end of the month too.

When did Audicare start covering brakes? Regarding a tune and Audicare: Audi cannot deny providing pre-paid services even if you are TD1'd, they can only deny warranty repairs.

$3k for pads/rotors and an oil change is crazy. Find a good indie shop once you are done with Audicare.

Had a few recalls serviced at Audi Burlington, advised them prior to the appointment and they were great about it. Did not need to flash back. Some dealers are ok with it, some won't touch the car.

FYI... Massachusetts changed their inspection process and itís wicked strict now! Any car with a tune, other than stock, will get rejected for emissions.

Sucks because Iím stage 1 and looking at stage 2.

Iím not officially trained in inspections but I have spoken to the techs where I work about it... being stage 1... if I tune back to ďstockĒ I will still get a flag to the RMV that my ECU was modified or ďtouchedĒ. Kinda like a TD1 code but if it meets emissions... I should still pass... technically... but I havenít seen a tuner car come in yet.

I can get official info from my employer.

GIAC is super easy to switch your tune between stock, tuned for 91/93 and 100. I paid 2399.99 from stock to stage 2 and DSG tune.
