Ugh. Were there just things in the engine bay that you couldn't remove to get out of the way?

I was just basing my comments on the non-uniform micro cracks and wear circle indicators in one of your pictures. I think the gold standard test is around weight, and then thickness. I am no expert on ceramic brakes and looks like you are on top of things.

^6I see wear circle indicators also and was to believe that when these were present, it was time to change them.

On a more important note, I did the install on y 2008 RS with a full writeup. Since Photobucket has removed the pics off the forums, I'll have to figure out a way to get it back up. Good thing for you members is that I'm off of work this week and will work on getting this DIY back in action. Any tips on pic hosting is greatly appreciated even though I'll figure it out when I get started.

    I've had decent luck with http://imgur.com/ .

Are you talking about a write-up for ceramics or for remote reservoir install?

Yes, your install thread was really helpful. Also re-linking the install instructions from the now defunct Stasis. http://www.stasisengineering.com/sit...tall%20V.2.pdf

I'm just going to get the pictures back up. My personal install instructions should already be up with blanks for the pics.

Here's another thing one can do. Take a cylinder of wood the same size as the canister and route that first. It will provide the route for the canister that you will of course wrap in tape. wrap in blue painters tape then over the blue with a thin layer of Duct tape for total protection.

Another good idea is to have quick releases installed on them when getting them rebuilt. The quick releases aren't cheap, about $450 each IIRC.

for the removal all you have to do is disconnect the lines. It's the reinstall that's gonna get you.

LOL... tutorial is easy; just remove it and leave car sitting in jack stands for a week.

Someone also posted the Stasis install manual... it did help me on the removal...

Raudi, if you point me to your photobucket account I can download the pictures for you and upload them to imgur or email them to you. I have some scripts that only take a few seconds. PM me.

Just go download the plug in for your web browser to allow hot linking. I can see the photos just fine. While resisting images isnít necessarily the hardest thing in the word itís probably not at the top of his priorities.

Um...we're not paid to help people on the forums. We do it out of the kindness of our hearts, when time permits. With an attitude like this, I wouldn't even bother.
