Help in revealing meaning of buttons and functions.

The button by the window switch is to "lockout" the ability to control the windows from any other switch besides the drivers master switch

I would check the fuse for the lighter and then the outlet itself, and the defroster issue could be fuse, relay, or defroster wiring

Off the top of my head I believe it's relay number 7 under the steering wheel but I would check the back glass first, make sure the connections are good and tight and follow the wiring back (behind the c-pillar) make sure the switch is good, and see if there's power from back to front

Maintaining a 12 year old Audi is about as expensive as Charlie Sheen's coke habbit.

Sad to say but get used to it. Not all, but definitely a bunch of self-righteous assholes on this site who would rather take the time to type out a put down instead of being helpful. Search first, ask questions last. Find a good indy shop who won't hold it against you for not being a "car guy" or mechanic. After awhile you'll learn who the dicks/trolls are and just ignore them, just like the rest of the internet.

Oh look...someone with a six-month-old account going on about how this site is full of "self-righteous assholes". Since you've "been here awhile," so I guess you've been able to "learn who the dicks/trolls are"?
