No worries. This is just what I wanted to see. My S-Line isn't ride height adjustable, unfortunately, so it should actually sit just the same as the mode in which you snapped the pic.

    Much appreciated!

Love your stance and those BBS!

You are essentially at et28 and lowered 2 inches. Any issues with rubbing? Outer or inner fender?

May be a dumb question, but for those that have used a 5mm spacer - did you need to buy the full kit with the bolts? I'd imagine not, but just covering all my bases.

Great! I've got RS6 Reps et35 (also 20x9 on 255/35) coming and contemplating either 5mm or 8mm spacers. I'd be at et27 if I run the 8mm. Not sure if that 1mm difference in our cars would work.

They're factory black optics wheels, so IIRC 20x8.5 -42. Factory air suspension lowered with VCDS and lowering links. We kind of just eyeballed it, but I'd guess around 1-1.5" drop.

I believe you are correct. The fronts cannot be adjusted. Therefore, I've installed thicker spacers on the fronts.

The fronts get inner than rears when these cars are lowered. So I don't really understand why people put thicker spacers on the rears for lowered car. (I could understand for stock height)

ECS are pretty good, I bought mine a couple years ago during one of their spacer sales. They have held up pretty well during the winters as that is the only time I run them.

ECS 17.5MM spacers front and rear. They rub a little on the front when going into a steep driveway only after changing to Michelin AS/3 the Pirelliís Pzero never rubbed.
I may change to 15MM spacers in the front for that reason.

Iím planning to put on 20x9 et25 with a 265/35 tire setup. I know another forum member used this setup but Iím wondering if anyone else is running something similar? Wondering if I will have any rubbing issues if I lower 10-15mm thru VAGCOM.

I am running a 20x9 ET35 with a 5mm spacer (to clear the front calipers), so this is effectively 20x9 ET30 and a 255/35. I am lowered 17mm and do not rub. However, it is very close. If you push it out another 5mm and step up to a 265, I think there is a good chance you will probably rub.

Hmm got it - Iíll have to see how the setup looks under stock dynamic height and lowering small increments to see when I get too close. Appreciate the feedback!

Glad to see you decided to replace your flooded A6 with another one instead of a truck.

Iím running 21x9 ET35 with 8mm in front and 12.5mm rear on 255 tires. Itís pretty much flushed with the fenders. Iím still deciding if I should install H&R springs I have or go with coilovers. Iím currently on stock sport suspension.

Someone please help me out. Wheel sizes and offsets is a science i don't quite understand.

I have a chance to buy a 20x9.5 et 54 cb 57.1 for a great price but im worried about the offset and the cb.

Do spacers bring that offset down or up? Also, are there spacers that have a cb adapter built into it or will i need to get it bored out?

Bottom line. Will these work and if so, what do i need to do?

    Thanks AZ

Hello, i just bought a 20'' Rotor model rims set that is specific to A6 C7 : 8.5j ET45 20'' that limits my tyre width size to 255 (because of the 8.5j).

For tyres I will go with :

Continental EXTREMECONTACT SPORT - SIZE: 255/35ZR20
Width = 10.7Ē = 27.178cm (based on the specs I've found these are the widest 255 tyres)
    Weight = 25 lbs = 11.33kg
    Rim range = 8-10Ē

I have an A7 and I estimate that I will need spacers, hence I am thinking of H&R 15mm.

So i have the following questions :

    1. Does anyone else with an A7/S7/RS7 has a similar setup with 20'', 8.5j, ET45 rims + spacers? What spacers? Pictures? It will save me a trip to the shop to fit the rims+tires , measure, take them off , transport them back etc.
    2. My A7 is on air suspension and VCDS lowered with 10mm (just for the Dynamic setting), do you think it will rub on the Dynamic setting with 15mm spacers?

    Thanks a lot !

Not really a good choice of wheel for an A7.
I am nicely flush to fender with 9.5 width wheels, 275 Tyres, ET33 AND 15mm spacers so my effective ET is 18.

If at stock height, would 20 all around be a problem? Iíd prefer to have DRA spacers that bolt to the hub, I dont want something crazy happening while Iím on track at an HPDE.

    Thanks Persuader!
You are correct, but I got such a good deal on the rims that I couldn't pass.

    Currently I have the 10 spoke A7 8.5j 19'' ET 32 rims and I don't like how they look - tucked in :|.

From my calculus : Starting from ET45 + 15mm spacers + 1cm that i get from the difference in tyre width (vs what tires i have now) i will be just a bit better vs current 19'' setup. So 20mmm spacers are clearly needed :(... is there a disadvantage in terms of how the car will behave if I go with 20mm instead of 15? Does it impact quattro, sport differential or air suspension?

You are correct, but I got such a good deal on the rims that I couldn't pass.

    Currently I have the 10 spoke A7 8.5j 19'' ET 32 rims and I don't like how they look - tucked in :|.

20mm spacers will be absolutely fine and will fix your predicament.
