Check engine light came on today: Error P0299

Unfortunately on a trip to Nashville and my check engine light came on. Pulled this error code.

Just a quick search and I'm seeing some people have mentioned the diverter valve. My q5 is a 2011 2.0T. I'm assuming it has revision D which should be less prone to failure, but it's still possible I guess?

Kind of odd since I never drive this car hard so curious what the culprit is.

Sorry I can't advise, as I have the 3.0T. Your moniker really suits the problem I'm having now. It seems I've just joined the failed oil sensor club.

hah! sorry to hear about the sensor failure.

well my check engine light turned off after my last full tank of gas. Guessing it didn't see the issue again, which is good I guess. Taking it to a local reputable shop this week so i'll see what they find.
