    Audi USA Sold Order Tracking?

    Why is this so hard? I have placed a sold order for a 2018 S5 with my dealer. Why can't I go to an official Audi USA website and follow the progress of my car as it progresses through the stages finally arriving at my dealer? You offer this in the UK and I assume other countries. I do not want to rely on my brand specialist who hasn't followed up and enrolled me in the "owner in waiting" program which I am told provides very limited information.

    I have my COMM #, what do I do next?

    Congratulations on your 2018 Audi S5! I appreciate your feedback on tracking your vehicle’s progress and will share this internally.

    The Owner In Waiting Program is a program for customers who have custom-ordered a vehicle to be built at the factory. This program helps customers stay informed about their new purchase and helps prevent defection.

    This program can provide email communications at five key phases of order fulfillment, each personalized to the customer’s specific order:
    • Factory Order Confirmation Email - congratulates a customer on their custom Audi vehicle order and sets expectations for the waiting process
    • Vehicle Production Email - notifies the customer that their Audi has gone into production
    • Transport to European Port Email - announces the production of the customer’s vehicle is complete and the vehicle journey to the U.S. has begun
    • Audi Genuine Accessories Email - notifies a customer about adding a personal touch to their ordered vehicle with Audi Genuine Accessories designed specifically for their new Audi
    • U.S. Port Arrival Email - announces that their vehicle has arrived in the U.S. and thanks them for waiting; further explains that the dealer will be in contact to schedule delivery of their custom Audi

    It would be a nice touch if one of the emails contained the name of the vessel/RORO that the vehicle is on. I found it very interesting and exciting to track the ships progress using a marine traffic website while I was waiting for mine.

    And also once you get your actual 'ship departure' date from dealer you can go to http://www.pwl.de/en/services/liner/roro and based on this date can see which ship departed Emden on this specific date..
